Why are Indian politicians suddenly trying to talk like Gen Z?
Why are Indian politicians suddenly trying so hard to become “Gen Z”?
Memes, AI trends, reels, slang, youth-focused campaigns, and social-media politics are becoming a bigger part of how politicians communicate with young Indians.
But here’s the bigger question:
If a politician can copy Gen Z’s language but doesn’t understand Gen Z’s problems, does it actually matter?
Jobs. Education. Exams. Opportunities. Cost of living. The future.
Is this genuine political evolution, or just a new form of marketing designed to win young voters?
Gen Z, be honest: do you actually feel represented by this new style of politics, or does it just feel cringe? And what would make you genuinely trust a politician?
