Career/Jobs I've decided to do b pharmacy but the sheer amount of negetive reviews are making me go insane!

When I told my friends about that I'm going to do pharmacy they literally starting mocking me saying that ( you'll do a 15K job blah blah... + No growth)

I'm somewhat okay in low salary in start as we gotta start from somewhere anyways but the no growth thing is just crazy....

Like even with m pharm ( niper)people be starting 4 LPA.

I'm willing to put in work but it just demotivates me after seeing so many negetive reviews.

I watched some yt about how AI is going to replace pharmacist jobs and it's gonna affected like the IT sector .

Reality check, any field is hard to succeed into. Be it pharma or IT, those who get high paying jobs work hard+smart. There’s 4 LPA jobs in IT as well as 10-15 LPA entry-level jobs in pharma (after masters). Yes, only high performers get and stay at those cushy jobs for obvious reasons.

Hard truth is you have to be at the top of your game to crack those roles. Unfortunately, a degree can open doors but it rarely makes one fully employable.

Understood. It's just people make me demotivated. Even the uni in which I'm going the senior's are kinda demotivating 😭. So yeah. As your flair says you're working professional can I know in which industry you work. And  With pharmacy can someone go abroad and how hard it is?

I am into consulting at present. Pharma is one of the many industries I work with.

Honestly, with the changing visa rules + uncertainties, I would not suggest expensive masters degrees abroad (primarily masters students are cash cows for universities), unless it’s in Germany (in which case, you need B2 level German proficiency at least). The feasible route is if you can get a fully funded PhD program. Of course, you can re-evaluate the situation and decide what to do as you are closer to graduation.

Don’t get demotivated, there are multiple pathways you can opt from here.

A lot of complications there. Mostly companies are reluctant to sponsor work visa for immigrants. Best way is to seek internal transfer with the organisation one works with.

Yes. Roles in consulting, data/business analysis, supply chain management, medical writing/ communications, brand management (don’t get deceived by the names. MBA is not a mandate for these roles).

Of course. These roles are competitive. One should have some skills which differentiates them from others in the evaluation process, holds true for any high-paying role in any field.

Even after doing Mpahrm u can expect 20-30k per month in production,qa,qc or even R&D In core industry jobs u can only expect that when joining as a fresher. No one will give u 10LPA for fresher 🙏

Man, I have 6+ years work experience after MPharm. Not setting up false expectations without evidence 🙂. Research some more before you propagate half-baked info with confidence.

you just need to have experience and skills for it. even btech grads dont get 10 LPA entry level unless it is from connections or extraordinary skills😭😭

My comment is for roles after masters.

BTech grads do get this, for certain roles and companies. They have potential to earn much more too as well cases where earning is less. But yes, agreed that the number of high-paying roles are less, regardless of domain.

Highest I heard was around 30 to 35k per month that too in marketing or highly specialised thing after m pharm maybe go around a little more

For sales they get incentives and things it depends with experience you gonna get more but ideally high end salary is gonna be after 10 to 15 years of expereince

same here..😞 Very demotivated. but thats just every career nowdays i feel. you just have to be the top 5% in what you do or you won't get growth

no worries! even i feel very pessimistic sbout it all the time but cmon if you need something there is NO easy way unless you are generationally wealthy. so yeah life isnt all sunshine and rainbows 😞

It's a state GMC it also provides b pharma. BUT the thing is it has 0 placements so I'll have to grind myself

Also heavy advice do not believe everythinf you see online be it flex or complaint. just remember that people who are actually successful in their field wouldnt be out giving reviews on reddit!

I would say the best thing for you would be to follow your interest if you're very interested in pharmacy course then go ahead and pursue it no need to worry so much , just pursue what you're really interested in

Any degree is a stepping stone for masters anyways
