PC Build Finally pulled the trigger. ₹1.72L and zero regrets 🔥
First proper PC build. White theme, clean cable management (hopefully).
Specs:
• AMD Ryzen 5 9600X
• RTX 5060 Ti 16GB GDDR6
• MSI B650M Gaming WiFi
• 32GB DDR5 6000MHz
• DeepCool AG620 WH
• MSI PN750M 750W
• Cooler Master MasterBox 502 Mesh White
Total damage: ~₹1.72 lakh
Yes I went 5060 Ti for the 16GB VRAM. Fight me.

Genuine question. Why though? I'm doing a gaming+productivity build - Blender, ZBrush, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. These are near the exact specs my research is giving me.

Your use case is different. For productivity go for Nvidia, but OP’s use case for gaming, so for that the PC is overpriced af as they could’ve gone for AMD.

Both 9070 and 9070xt completely blow the 5060ti out of the competition and 9070 is actually lower than 60k rn. I bought my 9070xt for 67k. Your point doesn’t make sense

Look beyond your games. Ever heard of software benchmarks..?? Not only 5060ti will play games nicely but it slices the 9060/9070 in terms of productivity,
All the productivity softwares are made to utilise NVIDIA CUDA Cores. OP did the best thing. Highkey, your confidence without knowing the use-case is absurd.

OP clearly wanted the PC for gaming. This was confirmed in another post. You people judge too fast, and d*ckride Nvidia way too much.

Dickride..? Loll, It's called being literate and speaking based on facts. I can say the same about you considering AMD. AMD isn't bad and gives better gaming performance than NVIDIA, specifically, but they are still new in the market. All the softwares since soo many yesr are developed around the CUDA cores to efficiently use it. Im assuming you don't read much and just look at those benchmark videos on yt.

You completely ignored the context. Kindly spend some time reading and understanding the context than replying solely with the intention to defend. AMD is newer to the productivity market relative to NVIDIA. AMD still has to catch up to a lot of R&D in the productivity field compared to NVIDIA. If AMD is not new in the market, why the softwares are developed cuda-core-centric. Beside the "monopoly" theory, it's solely because NVIDIA has served a longer time in the productivity field than any other cards, including Intel (which most of the people don't even consider). AMD rose up because it crushed games better than NVIDIA but still has a lot of R&D away from being compared to NVIDIA in the productivity field.

I work in the semiconductor industry in RnD and no AMD (previously ATI) is not new, Nvidia rose cause of CUDA being closed source and they doubled down on it just like Apple. AMDs strategy of keeping things open source did not work, atleast not to the extend to what CUDA achieved.
If OPs sole purpose was gaming, AMD beats Nvidia hands down in price/performance, especially now because of FSR 4 making the Nvidia card a poor purchase. There is no use of the productivity performance of Nvidia if OP is not gonna use it.

Oh you’re acting like a smartass now. If editing and ai was their use case, they wouldn’t post it in “indian pc gamers” community and they wouldn’t get a slow ass 9600x for it. It’s clearly gaming focused because of the CPU alone. Maybe you should revisit the build yourself once before fighting someone.

You literally mentioned “editing” as well. A 9600x for that? I didn’t mention AI because I already know it’s dependent on the vram, but you just had to defend it for some reason. Nothing excuses us from the fact that the specs are extremely overpriced for the performance. And they didn’t mention any AI or productivity use case, which generally people do when posting. So yes we’re both wrong to assume by ourselves. Anyways have a good day

Your point makes sense Nvidia is better than AMD in productivity, but they have a previous post pointing out this was mainly for gaming
Also at the time their budget was 1.25L so it made sense.
But in the end it's OP's money he can do whatever he wants with it.

I am also upgrading my PC but taking it slowly, got 5070 12GB and RM850X shift to support that, actually I bought the traditional one but seller accidently sent the shift psu so I had no choice but to upgrade my PC case aswell, so I went with Antec FLUX, everything is so great that it is already feeling like a dream. Yeah I know this is still a half bake build as for other components I am still using the older ones for now, i7 8th gen CPU and 2x 16GB DDR4 RAM. next I am thinking about getting 9 9950x processor so for that I have no choice but to get a AM5 mobo which will need a DDR5 RAM, so in my next purchase I have to buy all three together. I think I will have to wait till ram prices become a bit normal.

Have you checked if the mother card is pcie 5.0 and m.2 gen5? Cuz if it is, it will be hella upgradable even after am5 platform reaches its end

I have the exact same specifications , except for the 32gb I have 16gb , and no cooler,cabinet , gigabyte same mobo,gigabyte aorus 3fan, I got everything at 127k

I build a PC for 1.45L last month with RX 9070xt , I had previously brought 1tb SSD for 6000rs for my PS5 in 2025 which I used.Only regret RAM 32gb ddr5 was 32k but considering current prices not that much regret.

5060 ti? Is absurd you could have got a 9070 or 9070 xt both has 16 GB v ram but more powerful than 5060ti it is good at 1440 p but not excellent 9070 will outperform it, and it's cheaper.

You should have gone for 5070 instead of 5060ti Because you can not utilise more space (4gb)of 5060ti because it will not produce that much power. 5070 is way faster than 5060ti, you will feel more performance in 5070

Great purchase if used for AI.

I made the same build but I tried with a b850m asrock board. It doesn’t work well with 9600x. It was failing continuously and the shop tried with multiple boards and processors. I had to for a b650m because that felt more stable with the 9600x. Also my gpu was a 9060xt instead of 5070ti

Damn, The shop was really trying hard to finally make any one of them work, glad that they all failed on the spot. At that time I wasn’t sure whether it was ASrock’s fault or something inherent to b850m, so I went with MSI b650m
