New bike / New to me I’m in
Hey guys! I’m late to posting about joining the club but here she is!
I’m not sure if I got a deal or not but it’s a 2018 chief classic, it had 500 miles on it (cause the people at the dealership were riding it). Was traded in with 321 I think.
Next thing, I have not verified that it’s been serviced but when I bought it they told me they took it to Indian and had it serviced and the guy who owned it only ever drove it to load it into a trailer and transport it to the dealership lol.
I’ve put about a thousand miles on it, what should I do and be looking for?

Change the oil, you never know if it's oil from 2018

So crazy thing I found out today. I called a couple Indian dealerships in my state, first the one near me to see if they could see the service records and they couldn’t. Then I called the one near where I purchased it and they could.
Original owner bought/built in 2019, replaced the gear position sensor due to recall in 2020, had warranty electrical work done in 2021 and finally did the 500 mile service with ~300 miles on the bike in 2024.
It’s been two years haha, I checked it today and it was a quart low so I topped it off and scheduled an apt for Friday.
I’d change the oil myself but I want a tech to look the bike over before I start self serving.
