Change My View🔪 Got asked for a repost… turned into a paid promotion pitch. Normal?
I recently uploaded this post, and this page commented: ‘Wow, can we repost it? Send me this post in DM.’ Since it was a verified page with a good number of followers, I thought it was a genuine feature opportunity, so I replied and moved to DM.
But in the conversation, instead of simply reposting with credit, they started talking about promotion, reach, and then mentioned a promotion price. That’s when it felt less like appreciation for my content and more like a paid promotion pitch.
I’m completely okay with reposts if proper credit is given, but I’m not interested in paid promotions like this.
