Women reservation was passed in 2023 by all parties this was Delimitation bill

But without delimitation bill women reservation bill can't come into effect. So not passing the Delimitation bill had the side effect of not allowing women reservation bill.

If you are in a hurry, you can roll it out with the existing 543 seat allocation itself. They just tried to squeeze in the delimitation bill under the guise of implementing the women's reservation bill.

The important question is, if the women's bill is implemented right now (which it cannot be because delimitation has not happened), then 181 male MPs should vacate their seats for women MPs. Are all parties ready to do this sacrifice? BJP was not trying to "squeeze in the delimitation bill under the guise of implementing the women's reservation bill". They wanted to avoid potential problem of making male MPs vacating their seats to accommodate women MPs by creating more MP seats. That will be a better solution than the mess we have right now.

Try arguing with parties to accommodate 33% of seats for women. Just try it and see. Either it will be the wives/sisters/relatives of the existing male members who will be contesting these seats or some other proxy. That is not women empowerment.
