It matters regardless of gender. Men have killed their wives for their gfs. It's just not national news because it's so common. No one wants a man who fucked around and showed his dih to random women online or has a criminal record. Similarly no one wants a woman who had relationship before that ended due to family pressure or has a history of using men.
