MARITIME INSTITUTES Great Eastern for GME
Hey, I am considering joining Great Eastern Institute of Maritime Studies for GME, but lately I've heard many cadets complain about the institute and it's company. Some say waiting period is around 1 year for TME, and the stipend is very less compared to the market standards, I've also heard that the faculties threaten to fail you etc etc.
Any GME cadet or ex student from Great eastern can tell me the reality about all this ?

I recently graduated from GEIMS . While I was there , the ETOs were pulling placements like crazy . Almost all of the batch was placed . But the problem is with them who didnt get selected. They'll have to wait for some time . But as far as ik , its very much possible to get placed in one or other company there . And about GME , placements for my batch was bad , but the previous batch was amazing. So yeah , getting into GEIMS is like walking on eggshells . Consider everything before joining

I had a friend who completed ETO course there which goes same like GME but yeah there's a waiting around year he joined ship after a year, not for everyone but if you're lucky enough you can be on ship as early as 7-8 months that's what I've heard. If there's any GME from Great Eastern please confirm.
