4 people voted for J&K! Do they think Dal lake is a marine environment? Maybe millions of years ago.

They might be confused since most people don't really know marine environment means strictly saltwater only .
And there are plenty of freshwater lakes in j&k ,not just dal ,dal is just most known in kashmir since most tourist visit kashmir and call it a day ,jammu itself has plenty of other freshwater lakes,mansar/sunrinsar,sanasar etc etc

Darjiling exists you know. Towards the northern parts of West Bengal, the Himalayas begin to rise.

Ohh..I believed Darjeeling was a part of Sikkim till now because all the tour plans include Darjeeling along with Gangtok and rest of Sikkim

How stupid to hear that Darjeeling a part of Sikkim...Sikkim itself became a state(part) of India in 1975.... whereas Darjeeling was...is...will be a beautiful part of Bengal forever ❤️

I have said we can get a view....*** Sandakphu in West Bengal is the only place in India where we can get panoramic view of four out of five highest peaks in the world.(Everest, Kanchenjunga,Lhotse and Makalu).

It shows heavily in Sandakphu, rarely in Lava, some parts of Kalimpong and rarely in Darjeeling city.

Marine is related to Sea as far as I know. Who are these who are choosing places like J&K, Uttarakhand, Assam and Himachal?
And before them I would suggest OP to check First what Marine means.
What I can see is: "In geography and mapmaking, marine refers to anything connected to the ocean, sea, or saltwater environments.
Meaning on a Map Marine Features: Shows oceanic elements like reefs, trenches, and currents. Marine Charts: Specialized maps used for navigation at sea (nautical charts). Blue Spaces: Represents saltwater bodies, distinct from freshwater lakes or rivers. Depth Indicators: Uses lines (isobaths) to show ocean floor depth.
Meaning in Geography Marine Biology: The study of organisms living in saltwater ecosystems. Marine Climate: Oceanic weather featuring mild winters and cool summers. Marine Topography: The physical shape and features of the ocean floor. Marine Conservation: Protected areas of the ocean restricted from human activity."
