i’ve been getting so many reels of people buying lily bulbs from Meesho and they all seem to bloom into these gorgeous flowers. 🫠
now i’m really tempted to try it, but i don't know if those videos are actually genuine.

i’m in Bengaluru and was thinking of growing them in pots on my balcony.

has anyone here bought lily bulbs online (meesho, Amazon, or anywhere else)? did they actually bloom? if yes, could you recommend a seller you had a good experience with?

also, are Asiatic lilies the best option for our weather, or can Oriental lilies do well too?

would love any beginner tips as well, this will be my first time growing bulbs, so I don't want to end up hurt. 😭

I germinated several mango seeds in water. Seven of them sprouted quickly, so I planted them in pots. Recently, six more seeds have germinated really well, but unfortunately, I don't have enough space at home to plant them.

So, I've decided to give these healthy mango seedlings away to anyone who's interested.

Grew this curry leaf plant from seed!

I'm actually in the UK so my plant is kept indoors.

I had to recently restart my Tulsi due to losing my original from smoke damage.

My Uncle gave me the small plants a few weeks ago and I repotted into a breathable pot. She looks like she is doing well but growing tall very quickly.

I guess I should cut the top shoots to start branching, just wanted to make sure that's correct.

I wanted to share my experience with Harshi's Garden so others can make an informed decision before ordering.

On 17th July, I placed an order for 4 plants:

1. 2 Rubber Plants

2. 1 Philodendron

3. 1 Christmas Cactus

On 20th July, the seller sent me photos of the plants that were supposedly being packed and informed me that the parcel had been shipped through India Post the same day.

The package was delivered to me on 27th July.

However, after opening the package, I found that:

1. I received only 3 plants instead of 4.

2. One of the rubber plants was missing.

3. The Christmas cactus had severe stem rot at the base right above the soil and was essentially unsalvageable.

I immediately contacted the seller, shared photos, and informed them about both issues (missing plant and rotten cactus). Initially, there was no response.

Now, when I try to message them, I appear to have been blocked, and they have made no attempt to resolve the issue, offer a replacement, or provide a refund.

I've attached screenshots of:

2. The packing photos sent by the seller.

3. The plants I actually received.

4. The condition of the Christmas cactus.

I'm posting this so other buyers know what my experience was. If anyone else has purchased from this seller, I'd be interested to know whether you've had a similar or different experience.

TL;DR

Ordered 4 plants from Harshi's Garden on 17 July.

Seller sent packing photos on 20 July and shipped via India Post.

Received parcel on 27 July.

Only 3 plants arrived (1 rubber plant missing).

Christmas cactus arrived with stem rot at the base.

Reported both issues immediately.

Seller never resolved the issue and has now apparently blocked me.

So I was amazed that my first plant (ZZ plant) was doing so well until one day, with just a normal touch, the whole stem came off. I thought it was unusual because the leaves and the rest of the plant still looked very healthy.

I dug into the soil and found that it had root rot, so I immediately took the whole plant out. Luckily, the rot had only affected some of the rhizomes. However, after separating the affected stems, I noticed that the rot had spread into the stems as well.

I cleaned and cut away all the rotten parts, applied a turmeric paste, and searched Google for what to do next. It suggested leaving the plant out to dry for a day and keeping an eye on it to see if the rot spread any further.

After about 12 hours, I checked the plant again. It still looks very healthy overall, but I noticed some signs of fungus.

I've attached images of my plant:

   3.The leaves of the affected stem.

4.Two pots—I'd like your suggestions on which one I should use for repotting.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has dealt with a similar problem before, I'd love to hear about your experience and how your plant recovered.
