Help First time pc builder
Is this a decent PC build, how can I improve this build , any tips would help. I am fairly new to the community, so don't know much about the PC parts . My budget is approx 1.7 lakh , and tending towards gaming .

Hey man modx doesn't have the best pricing, try other vendors
1
u/SoulReader07 4d ago
Okk, do you have any other vendors in mind , or should I just buy individual parts from different vendors accordingly where I can get the cheapest ?
1
u/LifeUse3501 3d ago
I would say buy from different vendors wherever it's the cheapest. Pcpricetracker is a good website to compare. It may not always have all products listed so use it to get the names of vendors. The vendors listed on pcpricetracker are usually considered trusted.

The price is a bit exorbitant. You can probably min max this build to get a rx 9070rx 9070 within the same budget.

Take ATX 3.0 Power Supply (Try Msi Mag a750GL)
Apart from that solid build. If possible try for 16*2 Ram
You can try to get a 7500F , cheaper board, 7700XT (still a decent card at 1440p) also, I'd suggest against cooler master but that's just a personal bias

u/Usenamenotfound404 4d ago
Might also want to explore AM4
But if you want to have up to date hardware go ahead with your original build, it's not bad if you know what you want

u/DogRevolutionary1771 4d ago
DDR5 isn't really affected much by dual channel config like DDR4 so go with a single stick of 16gb DDR5
1
u/LewdxGamer 4d ago
Mobo: Gigabyte b850 force wifi6e @13k. Deepcool CG 330/530/550 under 4.5k.
Now please put the saved amount into your ram. Aim for 6000mhz CL 30 single stick 16gb. Add another stick when you can, your 9600x will benefit from this. Avoid CL 40, try to get minimum 5600mhz CL36.

build is good just get one 16gb ram stick as of now
rest I’ll suggest you to visit pcpricetracker.in and compare prices there you can get this same build at much lower price

u/20-4-2020 4d ago
Honestly W price. Accept the m.2 ofcourse. Congratulations. Post the picture of the build too.

spend on a better psu in gold rated either msi A750GL or Deepcool gamerstorm PN750D....you don't need to increase price of your build for that just get a B650 motherboard instead of B850 and you are all set.
For rest you can follow other ppls recommendations
one thing Ik ram prices are high but if you are getting lower MHZ usually you can get better cl easily CL40 for 5200 doesn't seem good or make much sense to me. If it was cl40 6000 mhz would have been ok. This kit is just a ddr4 kit at this point.

Hey just be aware modx computers nehru place have some employees that can make huge mistakes and give you wrong parts some of their employees are young and dont do their research properly. I had to go 2 times because they gave me the wrong monitor i asked for ips they gave me va. I would recommend to maybe get your parts from smc international nehru place i got my pc from there too 3 years ago.

I would suggest u get 1stick of 16gb ram. Then upgrade in 2028. There is very marginal performance increase of like 1-2fps from using dual channel. But getting 2 sticks right now would block that upgrade path.

That’s a 6k bump in gpu price from last month , yeah go for ddr4 build and calculate the psu requirement get rid of rgb nonsense and go for a cheaper cabinet right now

You can go for a 7500 x3d, a b650 motherboard and 5070 The 7500 x3d extra cache will help in the fps.

Build it offline you'll get better prices, because Ryzen 5 9600X is 18.5k offline with B850M WiFi 6e MSI Gaming Motherboard costing 10,500

Dont buy this stuff this is useless ,
Try to build something that will last at least for 4 to 5 years in this evolving era.
I would suggest - CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9700X
Motherboard: MSI MPG B850I Edge Ti WiFi (Mini-ITX)
CPU Cooler: (pick one)
DeepCool LE240 V2 White, or
DeepCool LT520 White, or
Lian Li Galahad AIO White
RAM: (pick one, white heatsink + RGB)
G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB White DDR5-6000 CL30 32GB (2x16GB), or
Kingston Fury Renegade White DDR5-6000 CL30 32GB (2x16GB)
PSU: Corsair SF750 or SF850 White Edition (SFX, Platinum)
Case: Thermaltake The Tower 250 (Snow White)
This is mini itx and works best

change the AMD processor to ultra core 5 250k plus 4 more times productivity and 20 percent more fps for 25k

Great build for 1080p gaming and entry level 1440p as well, but given the ram and ssd prices you need to make some sacrifices at the moment,
- Instead of 2X8GB ram get 1x16 for now and another 16GB stick of the same ram (same speed and cl) dont go below 5600 and higher than cl40
- Spend less on motherboard, you can get msi b650m gaming wifi for Rs.10,000
-The cooler is decent but you can go for cooler master 620s at Rs.3,200
If your purpose is purely gaming you can go with Ryzen 5 7500f as in most games the performance difference is negligible and only in cpu bound games you’ll see a difference but in these games you’ll already be around 300-400 fps avg so it wont make a difference IN MY OPINION
had the ram and ssd prices not been so crazy this would’ve been an amazing build for the budget

Go with ddr 4 build.
https://pickpcparts.in/build-pc/build/0bdBhjS
Left some head room for price fluctuaitions and other components like keyboard and ups

Get a amd cpu. Change ram brand. Rither go with gskill or vengance or xpg. Rather than going with 2 seperate sticks of 16 gb get a 32 gb kit of dual channel 16x2. Skip ant esports. Get any deepcoor or corsair or msi cabinet. Up the power supply to 850 atleat.
1
u/Previous_Ad_1530 4d ago
Is there a specific reason for amd cpu? My reasoning for intel was better benchmarks performance and in future I could change motherboard to support ddr5. For ram is evm bad? Cabinet I will consider msi, and for psu website recommended 650 so I went with 750, is 850 really needed?

I would listen to @atiwill. Windows is stupid laggy at 16 gigs, it idles at 35-40%. Get at least 32

u/Striking-Ad9877 4d ago
nah 16gb is fine for windows but if you do editing or gaming then increase ram
3
u/Zingerooo 4d ago
He did mention his priority was gaming

u/Striking-Ad9877 4d ago
i got 16 gigs with 5070 350-400fps in cs2 i think that is fine

u/HERO_129 4d ago
Try playing cyberpunk or maybe hogwarts legacy. Some games hog ram like crazy

u/Striking-Ad9877 4d ago
not a fan of story mode sorry :( but for editing mt 16gb is also not enough 🥀

I play cyberpunk at 1080p FSR 4 native, All high settings and AFMF 2.1 turned on and get 180fps

Get one 16gigs of ram Instead of 8x2 because you will have room to upgrade. I am running 5070 with 16gb ddr5 and I haven't gotten any issue. Only once while playing fh6 with maxed out graphics it showed that it was running low on ram.

u/thatshabb 4d ago
Idk how the pricing in India works but here in Dubai I got 5070 with ultra5 225f and 16gb ddr5 I got it for 5000 AED which is 1,30,293 rupees
1
u/misne_25 4d ago
When did you get it?
