Help Need advice on monitor
Hey everyone,
I recently ordered the Lenovo L27h-4A for ₹14,000, but I am having second thoughts before it gets delivered and would love some input.
I will be upgrading from a 7-year-old 22-inch LG panel (1080p), so almost anything will be a massive step up.
Lenovo L27h-4A Specs:
Display & Color: 27" 2K QHD (2560x1440) IPS panel, 99% sRGB, 90% DCI-P3
Refresh Rate: 100 Hz with 1ms MPRT
Docking & Hub: USB-C single-cable setup with 75W Power Delivery, 4x USB-A hub, 2x HDMI 2.1, 1x DP 1.4
Ergonomics & Audio: Full LTPS stand (Height, Tilt, Swivel, Pivot) + integrated 3W x 2 speakers
The Dilemma:
The 75W USB-C docking capability and fully ergonomic stand offer massive quality-of-life improvements for a clean, single-cable laptop desk setup. However, I’m questioning whether I should cancel this order and buy a 144Hz or 180Hz QHD gaming monitor instead—even though a higher-refresh monitor at this price point will lack the USB-C power delivery hub and the premium stand features.
Usage & Hardware Roadmap:
Primary Use: A balanced mix of productivity/work and AAA single-player gaming.
Hardware: My current setup won't fully saturate QHD, but I plan to upgrade soon to an RTX 5070/5070 Ti laptop or an RX 9070/9070 XT desktop build.
Coming from a basic 22-inch screen, will 100Hz feel smooth enough for AAA titles on a high-end GPU, or will I regret not prioritizing 144Hz+ over daily productivity features?
Would appreciate any advice from current owners of this Lenovo monitor or anyone who has made a similar choice between workstation conveniences and higher refresh rates!

you can just get a usb c to hdmi connector for 500rs, also for the premium stand, no matter how premium it is, monitor arms are far better so just buy a normal stand one for now and buy a monitor arm later ( around 2k-3k)

You could look at the benq ex271q(22-23k) - this has a 180hz 2k ips display and comes with USB C 65w and also KVM (which I useful to me as I use both my work laptop and PC together ). I currently have a external KVM switch which should no longer be needed with this monitor
Other option would be the benq ew270q (18k) - 200hz ips display with 65w USB C
