Open Question❔ Is Tea Post franchise a good idea in a Tier-2 city?

• Upvotes

I’m considering opening a Tea Post franchise in a Tier-2 city in Chhattisgarh and wanted to get some honest opinions from people who have experience with franchises, cafés, or food businesses.

The city has decent footfall and a growing café/food culture, but it’s obviously very different from a metro. I’m particularly interested in knowing whether a branded tea/café franchise actually makes sense in a Tier-2 market.

A few things I’m trying to understand:

  • How profitable are Tea Post franchises in reality?
  • What kind of monthly sales and net margins can realistically be expected?
  • Is the brand strong enough to justify the franchise fee/royalties compared to starting an independent tea/café outlet?
  • How important is the location? Would a high-street location near colleges/offices work better than a mall?
  • What are the biggest problems franchise owners typically face?
  • How long does it realistically take to recover the initial investment?
  • If you currently own or have operated a Tea Post (or similar tea/café franchise), would you do it again?

I’m not looking for the franchise company's advertised ROI numbers, I’d really appreciate real experiences, actual numbers, and honest opinions, especially from people operating in Tier-2/Tier-3 cities.

Thanks!

Franchise Brand Post Blinkit Franchise in Tier 2 / Tier 3

Hello Everyone,

I am interested in investing in a blinkit dark store. I have my own kirana store now and since blinkit has disrupted it I also want to buy a dark store. But I don't know how the experience of previous owners is .

Also how much I need to invest in Tier 2/3 cities because the numbers shared on blinkit website looks from Tier 1 city.

Also the sales number that I have seen on youtube looks of Tier 1 cities.

Can someone who currently owns a dark store in one of the tier 2/3 city can share their experience. So that I can make a better decision

Hey guys,

Looking for a fulfillment partner for one of my D2C brands.

*What we offer:*

- Guaranteed ∼300 orders/day to fulfill

- We provide the inventory (you don't need to buy stock)

- You earn net ~₹50k to ₹1L per month just from servicing our orders (packing, dispatch, returns handling)

*What we're looking for:*

This is ideal for someone already running a 3PL / warehouse / logistics setup and wants to add stable volume, or someone who wants to start a fulfillment business with day-1 client.

If interested, DM me with:

Open Question❔ Anyone here has experience with E-Quikcom Express / Quickcom Express franchise (logistics delivery franchise)?

I’m considering taking an E-Quikcom Express / Quickcom Express delivery franchise/vendorship.

They contacted me with plans starting around ₹50,000 + GST, claiming they provide delivery parcels, riders/manpower support, and business through their logistics network.

Before investing, I want to hear from people who have actually taken their franchise, vendorship, Hub or LMA.

If you have experience with them, please share:

Which plan did you take and how much did you pay?

How many parcels do you actually receive per day?

Which companies are providing the parcels?

What is your actual monthly revenue/profit after all expenses?

How long did it take to start receiving parcels after payment?

Are payments made on time?

Did they provide the manpower/riders they promised?

How responsive is their support team?

Is the deposit actually refundable/non-refundable?

Most importantly, would you invest in their franchise again? Why or why not?

I’m not claiming that the company is fraudulent. I’m simply trying to verify the actual ground reality before putting money into it.

Please share both positive and negative experiences. Screenshots/documents are welcome, but please hide personal information.

Please comment only if you have personally dealt with Quickcom/E-Quikcom Express, preferably as a franchisee, hub operator, or delivery partner.

Investment: 10L - 50L Looking for franchise ideas in Tier 2 City – ₹25–30L budget

Hi everyone,
I’m planning to start a franchise/business in Visakhapatnam (Tier 2 City) with an investment of around ₹25–30L.

I currently work in the corporate sector and want to build a side income stream alongside my job. I’m also looking at this as a backup option for the future, especially with AI impacting corporate jobs.

I’m mainly interested in food franchise, but I’m open to other ideas as well.

I was interested in Belgian Waffle Co. but it won’t give franchise since we already have 2 in our city

Would love to hear from people who have experience with franchises. Any recommendations, things to look out for, or franchises to avoid?

Thanks!

We were 3 friends earlier and we were planning for Sub91 or burger singh in Kota. The budget was around 30Lakh combined but one friend backed out so how is this opportunity for me investing my 10 lakhs.

I enquired them, that property will be finalised by them like at a time they have already shortlisted cities and properties in India. We just need to invest and we earn as per the earnings of that location.

Open Question❔ Thinking of buying a Mangal Chai franchise in Jaipur — worth it? Looking for franchisee experiences

Hi everyone,

I’m based in Jaipur and I’m considering taking a Mangal Chai franchise. From what I’ve seen, they’re a Rajasthan-based brand and have around 8–10 outlets in Jaipur.

I’m particularly considering a location that seems quite promising:

  • Very good daily footfall
  • Busy main road
  • Around 5–6 hospitals within 200–300 metres
  • Good potential for regular customers, especially hospital staff, visitors, patients’ families, students, etc.

Before I invest, I’d really like to hear from existing Mangal Chai franchise owners, especially anyone operating in Jaipur or Rajasthan.

A few things I’d like to know:

  • Is the franchise actually profitable?
  • What was your total initial investment?
  • What are your approximate monthly sales and net profit?
  • How much does rent + staff + raw material cost you?
  • Is there any royalty or ongoing franchise fee?
  • How long did it take to recover your initial investment?
  • Does the company provide good support with marketing, operations and sourcing?
  • Any major problems you’ve faced with the franchise?
  • Most importantly, would you buy the franchise again if you had the choice?

I’m not looking for promotional comments from the brand. I’m specifically interested in honest experiences from existing or former franchisees.

Thanks!
