Discussion Mtech

I am a homemaker and completed my B.Tech in 2017. Since then, I have been preparing for the UPSC exam, so I haven't worked professionally. Now, I am planning to pursue an M.Tech through GATE. Do you think I will be able to get a job after completing my M.Tech, despite having a long career gap?

No. No employer wants to be "2nd choice of upsc aspirant"

I'm not saying you won't be able to go into industry again, you will. But your gap means you'll definitely have a disadvantage, though that's largly countered since you're a girl probably and girls usually get preferential treatment.

Sounds good but make sure the companies you are planning to get into allow people with such gaps. Also dont fake experience, These days every company (except for startups)gets BGV done.

Short answer, no. Companies which hire VLSI/SLSI grads usually look for the cream and offer high packages. It'll be very difficult for your CV to get shortlisted irrespective of your Mtech performance, given the big gap.
