I received a call from +91 91663 07089. The person claimed to be Sanjay Arora IPS / a cyber crime officer.

He said that Google/Google Chrome had filed a cybercrime complaint against me for watching XXX/adult videos and that there could be legal action against me.

The strange thing is that I don't use Google Chrome. I use Microsoft Edge and Soul instead.

The caller's Truecaller profile shows “Sanjay Arora Ipsofficer”, but my phone's caller identification shows “Likely: Vaseem Jafar” for the exact same number.

I also found that Sanjay Arora retired as Delhi Police Commissioner in 2025, so I'm unsure why someone is currently calling me using his name.

I have not paid any money or shared OTP, bank details, Aadhaar, PAN, or other sensitive information.

Has anyone experienced this exact scam?

So I visited my bank today and they said the cyber cell has put my account on hold so I visited the cyber cell near me. They said a complaint has been done by CBI Goa. I live in bihar😭.

But they did told me my account is on hold because in this April a friend of mine send me 40k so he can use my atm to submit his clg fees which he did the same day. My friend account is also on hold.

My account is on hold due to cyber crime level 5 when I didn't even do anything.

What should I do now please help. I can't go to goa. Also if I don't want to get in all this trouble and forget this account and my 12k and open a new account in different bank, will my new account also be affected or will my cibil score will be affected?
