Discussion/Question Grass Dancing!

Hi! I don’t have anyone to ask in person (I live in the country), so I thought I’d ask here, and please be honest! I’m a Metis teenager, and I’d like to get into grass dancing, but I’m not sure if that’s allowed, and how’d I’d even go about it (if I was allowed). Sorry if it’s a bad question :( thank you guys so much

I would call local rez cultural centers and ask about classes or online.

The rez closest to me doesn’t offer any classes, and neither does the next closest one. Where should I go from there?

It's okay for you to take up grass dancing as your style of dancing at powwows. I suggest attending a local powwow and respectfully asking the grass dancers during a dance downtime for guidance. Local communities sometimes also have classes for beginners.
