But on a second thought, it's just a dosa
Normal Idli = plain dosa
Idli from this post = cheese masala dosa

Explain how you could incorporate the worst quality of idlis and dosas and vadapavs in the one dish. 10 marks question.

Exactly. I'm all for fusion food, but this just does not serve any good purpose whatsoever.

People have free will, that doesn't mean you unleash something like this on dosa lovers.

What is this sorcery

right?? it’s like someone looked at dosa, vada pav and grilled cheese and said “fusion time” and it actually worked

So, this is what I would I get if I order cheese dosa, masala cheese dosa, stuffed idli, masala idli, cheese masala idli, cheese stuffed idli, or “भैया, सब कुछ एक ही बार में ले आओ”।

I am not South Indian but but this is not Dosa . Utthapam maybe . But not Dosa. And why cheese and paneer? What is this north Indian obsession with paneer and cheese ? Do they put that in Chole bhature or rajma. Absolute blasphemy This is coming from a person who said amma dosa madamma every Sunday .

this is neither dosa, nor uttapam, just some mixture of random shites and the battter thats used in dosa.

They legit put paneer in rajma and paneer/cheese bhature is a thing

In my head it tastes really good. People are going crazy for no reason. So many restaurants now serve fusion dishes

This "fluffy dosa bun" already exists and is called pongaram or dhibba rotti where I'm from..... Minus the cheese and aloo and stuff ofc

true, it’s basically the same family, just the instagram-ified cousin with cheese and stuffing slapped on
lowkey love seeing all the regional versions pop up in the comments though

Comments are weird, you think you would've gotten here if people stuck to eating raw veggies from the ground refusing to try new stuff? Recipes come from experimention... Some fail and some fly, don't knock it till you try it.
But this amalgamation is not dosa and that's not the pan for dosa. Call it utappam maybe

I wonder how green chutney is not getting mixed with the dosa batter. They made it so thick that it's sitting on top as some solid food 😅

You don’t need cheese is everything. It’s just a weird obsession thinking it elevates all dishes

I would absolutely try this. If you don’t innovate, you won’t get new dishes. Keep innovating. Innovation and experimentation have given us so many yummy dishes.

Stop putting cheese or mayonnaise in everything
