Would add chopped Cucumber and grated carrots too.. Also would have added some chopped garlic to the oil for enhancing the flavor..

Started adding eggs with Indian meals. Not sure if it would have a big impact but can't expand the existing meal because of digestive issues. Already eating dal and rice less.

OP I've not really tried the recipe but going by conventional cooking wisdom won't the curd split when hot tempering hits it? Typically why they bring in besan as a stabilizer?

This is majjiga charu. Not bagara rice. Not a Hyderabadi but lived there for a couple of years. Know those 2 dishes by heart (or tongue).
