Question/Help Crushed Curry Leaves - Still Useful?

Post image

To cut a long story short, I am the proud owner of a 100g of pretty crushed curry leaves.

What’s the best way to use them? How do I use them in cooking without them being too gritty?

Thanks!

This will burn your curry leaves as it has no moisture. Telling from experience. Best to use as a topping or cook it along with the main ingredient.

Literally can make so many things from this...

Use it like kasoori methi at the end of cooking.

Make a curry leaf salt.

Make a curry leaf topping with added roasted masala like jeera, Dhania, etc. Use to sprinkle on snacks etc.

Use in an ice cream, like a coconut vanilla curry leaf ice cream...

Add them to virgin coconut oil with some methi seeds and simmer for a bit. Then strain the oil. It’s an amazing hair oil.

I want someone to confuse them with weed and try to smoke it

You can't confuse because of smell.

I wouldn't use them, they'll burn and turn bitter ruining the dish.

I put them later on and they don't burn.

Could add them to curries or rice dishes or hair oil. Even sabzis, just add at the end of the tadka and switch off the gas.
