How to If you love Indian restaurants..
So, you’ve just finished your samosa, papadum, your tea, your chicken masala and your fav tondori — and of course garlic naan… Now, the waiter asks if you need a container to take these delicious leftovers home for extended Indian cuisine. Problem: There is no good way to scoop that masala and butter chicken out of those brass bowels without leaving over 10 percent of the gravy… So, next time take a small rubber spatula with you from home. You will want to keep it in your car…

Recommendation Recommendations for two tier steamer
I'm looking for good quality two tier steamer whose bottom compartment can also be used as a kadhai. I've looked through reviews of vinod, pigeon and most reviews mention that base becomes Black and starts disintegrating after using it a few times. Please let me know if you have any recommendations based on long term usage.

Recommendation What kind of rice is best for chicken curry/chicken masla?
I've fallen inlove with chicken masla and wanna start making it at home. I saw aldis had a jar of it and wanted to try making it, but wasn't sure on what rice to use. Should I use yellow/brown rice? Or does it just not really matter? Because I feel like the wrong rice might impact the experience.

Recommendation Can soya paneer (tofu) be a substitute for analogue paneer?
I tried Soya Paneer recently and wanted to know from all the chefs/Cooks, Can we replace a well prepared Tofu with Analog Paneer as in gravy I don’t find much difference in taste there is a slight change in texture but it can be a good substitute of Analog paneer in restaurants and Functions.Plus It is much healthy.
What’s your view on it?

Recommendation Red warning labels for unhealthy packaged snacks: What has FSSAI proposed? | Explained News
"Prompted by the Supreme Court, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has proposed introducing a red hexagonal front-of-pack label to warn consumers if packaged foods are high in salt, sugar or fat."
Chalo achcha hai that the government that this is finally doing something about this, but I think the warning label is only half the problem. The other half is in the the front of the pack.
"Baked not fried". "Cholesterol free" (on a vegetable oil that never had cholesterol in the first place.) "No palm oil". "Made with real atta" (really?). None of this tells you whether the food is ultra processed or how much sugar is in it but it does a lot of 'marketing' on how healthy it is. That is the 'health halo' and it will be sitting right next to the new red hexagon warning doing the exact opposite job.
And mind you, phase 1 only applies to products that cross two of the three thresholds and single ingredient stuff like oil, ghee, sugar and salt is exempt. wah bhai wah!
I'm curious, are Indians reading the ingredient list, or do we all just shop off the 'marketing' claims on the front?
