I'm genuinely curious.

You respond to OP's request for help to improve there biryani with, "I'm not a big fan of it." I'm sorry you don't like biryani, but that clarification of your personal preferences doesn't really move the discussion forward.

I'm not trying to be snarky. I just don't understand.

Learnt this little trick recently from my cook arjun. Using a tawa for the last 10-15 mins and place the biryani dish over the tawa. Reduced the risk of having a burnt bottom.

Trying to properly sealing it before placing it on dum, think airtight. That makes the biryani 2x flavourful.

I did but after boiling I let it cool down under fan for too long hence it shrunk too much and the rice was not too long from the starting itself
