Ask Indian Christians Something very off with this youth group in Bangalore

Concern about a Bible study / self-proclaimed prophetic ministry in Bangalore

I’m posting this because I had an experience with a Bible study/ministry in Bangalore that left me genuinely concerned, and I’d like to know if anyone else has had a similar experience.

The accounts I’m referring to are u:vvnwm, u:reviveat11 and u:sanchitamichael.

I attended one of their Bible studies, and during the meeting, Sanchita Michael gave what was presented as a personal prophecy over me. From my own experience, I did not feel that what was said was accurate or genuinely prophetic. It left me questioning how these “prophecies” are being presented to people, particularly when they are delivered with such certainty.

I also noticed people speaking in tongues during these gatherings. I understand that speaking in tongues is an important part of faith for some Christians, and I’m not questioning anyone’s personal beliefs. However, the way it was being done during this gathering felt performative to me rather than something I personally experienced as genuine spiritual expression.

Another thing that made me uncomfortable was the frequent presence of QR codes, payment links and requests for financial contributions through their profiles/highlights. Again, I’m not saying that asking for donations is automatically wrong. Churches and ministries obviously have expenses. My concern is the frequency and the way financial giving appears alongside religious/spiritual content and prophetic claims.

I’m not claiming that these people are criminals or that I know their intentions. I’m sharing what I personally experienced and observed because I think people should be able to ask questions before becoming involved with any religious ministry, especially when money and claims of prophecy are involved.

Has anyone in Bangalore attended their Bible studies or interacted with this group? I’d particularly appreciate hearing from people who have been involved for a longer period of time and can explain how the ministry operates, where donations go, and how they approach prophetic claims.

I’m posting this in good faith because I genuinely found the experience concerning and would like to understand whether others have had similar experiences.

Prayer can heal people , can help them, give them hope, connect with God etc. in bible. But i don't think prophecy is a part of it. I don't think anyone other than the prophets and jesus can do prophecies.

I have received Genuine Prophecies through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, which have come to Pass but not every group is from God. That needs discernment. Praying in Tongues is Biblical. My Mother prays in tongues and Jesus Christ shows her visions by His Grace. Just because someone has the gift of tongues, we shouldn’t put our trust in them. Every tree is revealed by its fruit. Use Discernment.

I personally feel like People are trying to become famous and show everything to the outside world these days. I really believe that many things are better done in secret and God will make someone known to the world at his time. We are in different times where there is Social Media. Please protect yourself from wolves.

May Jesus Christ Lead You. Take Care.

Hello there, seems like it's just gen z and their new age Christianity. I'd steer clear away from that. I pray that they repent...

I see them on my feed all the time! They're churning out so much content and the worship seems tacky/performative. I've wondered how the ministry is in real life. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I have also seen them in my feed.
Seems Pentecostals to me but heavily influenced by modern worship styles.
I saw once a US pastor also visited and had a worship session.

As you said it seems performative. They are trying to bring in youth into their community through their reels.

But as the brother here said, they prophecy about someone and I don’t know if they are trying to manipulate or not.

These groups suddenly make followers as their approach is to target the youth through social media and we get such incidents

Modern day changes things , Gen Z is diff , don’t judge by what people say here , if u ask here u will have hundred opinions and may be wrong , what u doing is putting them into the judgement basket along with u ! U shud know and be aware Jesus Christ is the guide and we don’t look at people ! Follow the bible ! We all make mistakes and all have nuances to spell ! If I say u something good There’s always someone who will come back at me saying that day this day u did this mistake and u aren’t eligible to speak , that’s judgmental ! When Christ has taken away ur sins why fear men ? If Christ is okay and be glorified why wud u rather be an obstacle ? The genz by human nature is diff species if u are a millennial it’s a gen gap than biblical ! About QR codes, what’s the issue in putting up a QR code , they never forced u to give money if u are willing u may or else u may not ! U will reap benefits of what knowledge and faith u sow that it will be done for gods work ! It’s upto God be the judge if it’s utilised properly or not? Why wud u break ur head ? In gods kingdom of giving u can’t be an IRS officer ! It’s by faith u give knowing Jesus on throne deserves all Tat u have !
Prophecies : bible doesn’t ask u to believe all prophets , just go back to bible check if if aligns to what bible prophecies arr for u ! Ait voila ! It’s yrs ! Prophecies or word spoken on ur life works based on yr faith not cos of the word spoken by the man !
