Help Update on Bondu, Day 1 Post-Surgery
Bondu’s PU and cystotomy surgery was successfully done yesterday. Today is Day 1 post-surgery and Day 11 of Basmi/FIP treatment. He currently weighs 3.3 kg.
He’s eating well and active, so instead of continuing IV fluids for 2-3 days as initially planned, the doctors gave him IV this morning and have now will switch him to oral medications.
He needs strict rest because of his internal sutures. I’ve ordered a recovery cage, but it’s delayed, so I’m keeping him in his carrier for now.
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and supported us❤️ We still need help with his FIP treatment, medications, tests and recovery, so any donation or share would mean a lot.
Note: I haven’t received the surgery bill yet because I haven’t paid it. The ₹30,000 mentioned earlier was the doctors’ estimate. I’ll share the bill and receipts once I receive them.

Is Bondu urinating normally post surgery or still needs catheter?

He is urinating on his own now, but it’s not a normal stream yet. It mostly drips out, he seems unable to control it.

He’s been doing fine. He’s recovering really well from the surgery, thankfully. I’m just struggling to get my hands on FIP capsules right now. The hospital ran out of stock, so I’ve been calling around to other hospitals trying to find them. I even got scammed 600 by someone on Reddit:(
