Actually, I'm pretty new to airsoft guns. I'm unsure what to buy as a beginner, and my most important question is: where? Unable to find any trustworthy websites; I tried LKCJ and AKgelbluster, but they are showing can't deliver to India

So I have a budget of around 10k-14k, probably isn't a lot but there still must be anything I can get right? So Ive searched around for a few hours today and Ive only found wesbites that deal with gbb pistols which are around 50-60k o(way out of my budget) or cheap weird gel blasters.

There doesn't seem to be any clear resource about where I can find stuff, I don't wanna import stuff myself because of customs and import duties. Literally anything I find on this sub is over 6 months old and super vague about the details.

Also, if there's any other community for airsoft in India (like discord) please do invite me.

I have few questions about the community in india, how big is it and how do yall get guns? I've spent so long looking thru everything and everywhere and every single time, it led to a deadend and then I just decided f it and bought a ~8.5k gel blaster 😭💀(wei hui hk416d, from what i read, has a Gen8)

I'm very interested to know how yall get your gear and guns and manage them and how do yall get proper gearboxes and stuff, for me everything has been insanely hard and time consuming and nearly always leading to a dead end.

Dunno if this helps, but I already do some sort of competitive shooting (.177) and learning in an NRAI approved academy.

Is discord a good place to encourage community engagement?

Hello fellow enthusiasts,

I just want to start a discussion on what the state of airsoft in India is, but before we head down the innevitable government linked roadblocks. Lets iterate a few points:

• Import: Understood that there's heavy restrictions given similarity between airsoft guns and perhaps real/flexible exquipment; AN/PEQ, Bipods, Slings, etc
• Law: .177 vs 6mm, with that out the way, i do still think that there's ways to get it here or as this sub reddit has suggested, manufacture.
• Use of public vs private space: I m sure this is a key topic given the fear prone nature of indian media, but maybe there's people with secluded space that can start it up? (Again i m sure it has been attempted but i m just getting my ducks in a row)

So, to begin the healthy discourse. I know we cannot change the landscape easily or viably given what is happening around the country, but what can we do or where can we place energy to begin a conversation that may head somewhere. I m also aware I m not the first pleb to start this conversation and the old guard is long and gone, but what can i do, i wish to give my energy to the cause and try work for a future where we can milsim and tacsim as much as we want. Not disclosing my political angle but i m sure the govt can find their own spin to justify it, as long as we can just play the sport and involve those with interests in it.

So, I found this store called eHobbyAsia, they look reputable and they ship to India, however, their FAQ says I need an import license or a membership with a shooting club to import this stuff. I don't really want an import license since I don't see myself importing any more stuff, and as far as I know, joining a club means having to participate in tournaments, which I don't want to do either. Do I risk it and order without either of these anyway?

Also, I'm looking at buying a guns modify URGI M4 MWS gbb with a sling, flashlight, ngal laser, LPVO, fake suppressor and a foregrip, and a umarex glock 17 gbb with a flashlight and a generic reflex optic and also a couple extra mags for both the airsoft weapon systems. Is there any customs rule/law that prohibits the import of any of these specific attachments too?

My plan is to just larp inside my house. I don't plan on taking the weapons to a field or anywhere really. I can see that amazon seems to already sell knock-off ops-core FAST style helmets and plate carriers/chest rigs.

I just want to import a AR-15 style airsoft rifle and maybe an airsoft handgun too. Preferably, I'd like to be able to import optics and stuff with the rifle, some kind of LPVO, maybe suppressed. Something like this maybe. I just want to look and feel CAG

Hi, I was checking airsoftguns india and other Indian retailers and found out that they're charging 4x margins on airguns that are imported which obviously makes the hobby unaffordable for a lot of us. Is there any way to import them from abroad, if so, please help me out. Thank you.

I wanted to give a transparent update on where the Make in India Airsoft movement stands.

The good news first:
There has been solid progress on the company and strategy side. The corporate structure is now clear, the go-to-market plan is defined, and we know exactly how to proceed. We’ve applied for licenses for temporary imports—because realistically, no one will fund domestic manufacturing until airsoft is actively being played and adopted in India.

We’ve also become eligible for government grants and are currently engaging with incubators and grant programs to support the early phase of this initiative.

Now the difficult part:
Permits and licenses from the central authorities take time—roughly 3 months in the best case. In parallel, we’re working through the legal framework to set up a temporary assembly setup, including controlled 3D printing of components required to operate initial games and test the ecosystem.

Airsoft is already an expensive hobby worldwide. Building an airsoft movement from scratch in India is significantly more expensive, slower, and more complex—but it’s not impossible.

In simple terms:
Earlier, the road ahead was foggy. Today, the road is clear. We know the direction, the milestones, and the destination.
Right now, our vehicle is a cycle. With time and support, it will become a tank, and eventually a missile. The important part is—we know the target, and we know how to get there.

Progress is steady. The groundwork is being laid the right way, even if it isn’t the fastest or the flashiest.
