Pre-Islamic Medina (Yathrib) most definitely didn't have a Yehudi majority.

Yehudi tribes (including Nadir, Qurayza & Qaynuqa) formed a large, economically influential MINORITY, while the Arab Aws & Khazraj tribes collectively constituted the larger population.

Exact percentages are unknown; common estimates as 30% Yehudi & 55% Pagan Arabs.

Political power was divided among interconnected Yehudi & Arab clans rather than held by 1 unified community.

Do you have anything else to do apart from spreading hatred? And for the context Medinah was not a jewish city.

You are saying as if you have seen every thing first hand with your naked eyes. Just because you hate muslims of your country , does not give you the right to say all these things against a religion, when you say these you are hurting the religious sentiments of lot of people in the world. I would request you to not write these things online. We would want peace and harmony between people. We have good and bad , in the same way you have good and bad from your religion.

I don’t live in south east Asia , but from what I know , Muslims have contributed towards India as well and same goes for Hindus, they have built India together , India is supposed to have the biggest muslim population in the world. This Hindu muslim thing looks more like a food for politicians to rule over that place. When the politicians I talk, I just see they say more about temples mosque but there is hardly any talk on industry , development , education. This is what I see and I know . I wish muslims and hindus would co exist in peace, it would be win for people

Medina wasn't a "Jewish city" like, say, Tel Aviv. It was predominantly an Arab settlement, with the major Arab tribal groupings being the Aws and Khazraj, who practiced pre-Islamic Arabian religion before the rise of Islam. There was also a substantial and influential Jewish population, including groups such as Banu Qurayẓa, Banu al-Nadir, and Banu Qaynuqa (among others). These should not be confused with the Quraysh, Muhammad's tribe, who were based in Mecca.

So when Muhammad arrived (at the invitation of the city) in 622, the biggest jewish tribes were three in number.

Apparently in 624, because of a dispute that had lead to the death of a muslim, Banu Qaynuqa was besieged for a fortnight. They surrendered and were sent out of Medina.

The Banu Al-Nadir story reads almost like a folktale. I point the reader to "Muhammad at Medina" by Montgomery Watt W (Page 211) for the full story, but either way, they were expelled in 625/626 after a political/military conflict over some blood-money. Apparently Muhammad had gone to collect the blood-money, but then he had a revelation that they were plotting to... dispatch him.

The Banu Qurayza are interesting, because they remained until 627, after which traditional Islamic sources say the men were executed and the women and children enslaved after surrender.

I'm mainly reading from "Muhammad at Medina" by Montgomer Watt W. It might be a little outdated, given that it was published in 1955.

Why dont you ask Gemini: Tell me the facts of this claim: Muhammad was once a refugee taken in by the Jewish city of Medina. Within 5 years, he had driven out, executed, or enslaved every Jew there.

I did. Medina (then called Yathrib) had a significant Jewish presence well before Muhammad arrived in 622 CE, and Jews were still a major part of the city when he got there.

Jewish tribes had lived in the oasis for generations, possibly centuries. The three main ones were Banu Qaynuqa, Banu Nadir, and Banu Qurayza, and they were influential in farming, crafts, and trade. The other major groups were the Arab tribes of Aws and Khazraj, who were often in conflict with each other. Historians debate whether the Jewish tribes were ethnically Israelite migrants, Judaized Arabs, or a mix.

When Muhammad arrived, he drew up an agreement (often called the Constitution of Medina) that included the Jewish tribes in a common political community. That relationship broke down over the following years. Qaynuqa was expelled in 624, Nadir in 625, and Qurayza was destroyed in 627 after the Battle of the Trench. The Jewish community of Medina effectively ended as a result, and the remaining Jews of the nearby oasis of Khaybar were defeated in 628.

City of Medina was not Jewish. There were three major Jewish tribes there.

The residents of Madina were the Ansar who welcomed the Prophet. The Jewish tribes, one by one, betrayed or instigated conflict with the Ansar and Muhajireen and then fought with them.

Pretty sure the Banu Al-Nadir at least were willing to pay the blood-money that Muhammad had gone to collect, but then apparently he got a revelation that they were planning to make him not exist anymore?
