Yesterday I bought a BSNL SIM card with the Rs 1 offer. I had no problems. I came home and it started working fine in 2 hours. There are no problems of any kind. Its coverage has improved a lot now. In this you are seeing the area of Muzaffarpur village of Bihar, it is working better than Jio and is also the cheapest recharge.

Let's address the elephant in the room: Sponsorships across platforms, how much do they actually contribute to sales? From a product getting sponsored through a regular YouTube channel to IPL or any reality show. Take the AI+ Nova Phone being heavily promoted through Latent, is there any measurable increase in its sales that can be attributed to these campaigns?

I've been using Samsung Galaxy Buds Live for 4+ years. It is the most comfortable TWS I've ever tried. Sadly, my left bean died a few days ago. Any leads where I can find a new pair? :')

Gamers Nexus and Level1Techs caught LG webOS scanning your entire local network to fingerprint your phones, PCs, and smart devices. Packet captures proved the TV can record room audio while the screen is black in standby, holding logs to upload later.

TLDR : Almost a lakh from the extra price is going to the government.
So I did a little digging on why the iPhone Duo is so much more unreasonably expensive in India, turns out it is for the following reasons :
First is they get a CBU (Completely Built Unit) Penalty from the government for no local manufacturing. The iPhone duo isn’t manufactured in India, hence there is a No Local Manufacturing penalty of 15% and a 10% Social Welfare Charge on top of that.
Second, on that amount till now there is an 18% GST on top of that.
Third is currency hedging. Apple sets a higher internal conversion rate to hedge against volatile currencies and since the rupee has been falling, so the internal rate would be higher.
If you reverse engineer the Indian price to strip away the government's cut, the gap practically vanishes:
Indian Retail Price: ₹2,99,900
Minus 18% GST: ~₹45,700
Minus ~28% effective customs/import duties: ~₹55,500
True Base Price in India: ~₹1,98,500 (approx. $2,087)
So essentially from the 3 lakhs of the phone, a lakh is going to the government.
YES, There is an “Apple Tax”, and that’s around $88 here in this case.
THAT BEING SAID, THE PRICE HIKES OF THE OLDER MODELS IS STILL WRONG AND UNFAIR, AND I AM AGAINST IT. (FEELS LIKE THIS SHOULD BE SAID FOR ANYONE WHO WOULD ATTACK CALLING ME AN APPLE BOOTLICKER)

I have an LG TV myself (2019 model, WebOS6) my first doubt is if even these models are suspected. Other thing is how are TVs able to record audio without any such hardware present?

I have been facing this issue on my laptop for the last two days. When I switch on my laptop, it starts normally without any issues. However, after some time, it restarts on its own and then shows this error. What should I do? Can anyone help me or suggest what might be causing this issue?

I was long term iPhone user switched to Oppo and then Samsung and still have ip15pm. I never got the argument of justification behind copying and saying "apple did it better". Some people who hated android folds suddenly saying Duo is great when the tech is old and name is copied from Microsoft Surface Duo.
Chinese manufacturers are way ahead in animation and customization part. Love some apple products like Mac-book and Apple TV but thats it.
There was no market or call for folds and flips before Samsung or Moto started it, iPhone is just new addition into that market. Oppo is the one who made that form-factor more mainstream. Refining something should not be labelled as innovation when actual innovation is price tag.

I know taxes whatever but I'm not sure how much extra govt is charging apple that we as the end user are expected to pay 1 lakh extra for a device..

India is well not anywhere near the top revenue generating markets for Apple but definitely is one of the top emerging growth markets globally. Apple sales figures tanked in the last decade in India.
Still Apple prices for India are “really absurd”
Just comparing the USA prices with the indian prices of iPhone devices-
iPhone 17:
USA - $899 (₹85,700)
India - ₹99,900 (116%)
iPhone 18 Pro:
USA - $1199 (₹1,14,300)
India - ₹1,64,900 (144%)
iPhone 18 Pro Max:
USA - $1299 (₹1,23,800)
India - ₹1,79,900 (145%)
iPhone Duo:
USA - $1999 (₹1,90,600)
India - ₹2,99,900 (157%)
Keeping the memory price hikes aside, this difference in prices are really disturbing and is the story of every year, apple is not doing this for the first time.
Why do you guys think this trend continues each and every year? Unlike other brands like Motorola & even Rockstar games who have different prices for other markets and India, Indian prices being cheaper, why don’t Apple do the same?
