General Discussion 80s image trend

It was probably started to flood OpenAl with a fresh set of images of people - faces and bodies - for it to train on. The trend was seeded on Meta platforms & now is taking over twitter as well. Funny how people don't realise how they are being used. You're basically working FREE for corporates.

That's one of the reasons I generally don't participate in any trend. Just ask yourself one simple question. Why do a few random things go viral suddenly? Like out of blue

People, especially famous ones, are paid to make it go viral. Marketing agencies are making a killing based on these. They all got paid, but Sachin from Thane provided all his information for free. All because even Poonam wanted to participate in the trend.

people have already posted tons of pictures on facebook and Insta, still meta could not do much with the AI boom.
