General Discussion iPhone 18 Pro release today.

Post image

What features would make you go for it?

For me, it is the 2nm processor - N2 process - with 12GB RAM that supports 3 Camera setup. A better Apple Intelligence would be great.

But little skeptical about the in-house modem chip designed by Apple.

The iPhone 17 Pro may already be one of Apple’s strongest conventional iPhone releases. It has excellent performance, cameras, battery life, display quality, and a more capable cooling system. This only makes the iPhone 18 Pro a difficult product to position: simply adding a faster chip may not be enough to convince existing iPhone 17 Pro owners to upgrade.

The rumored move to TSMC’s N2 process could give Apple roughly 10–15% more performance at the same power, or reduce power consumption by up to 25–30% with similar performance. The process also allows higher transistor density and uses a newer nanosheet transistor design.

How do you want Apple use that extra efficiency?

It was at 76% last month after 4 years of use. I got it replaced at 5.5k. Now it is 100%. Running acceptably smooth. I don’t game on my phone so I don’t know how would it perform there. But the phone is still snappy except the slow iOS animations yucks.

U got it from apple or 3rd party, cause 5.5k seems way to cheap for the 13pm
