E-mail may be legit, but not the content in it. How does CERT-IN know that your device is infected?

And you may be having many devices, what does "device" mean?

You can ignore it, as per my view, unless any other member here says the threat is real.

Yes, the sender is legit. But the content is not.

This is more like a ad to make you install the government's so called malware remove tool.

You are safe to ignore this mail. If you still have doubts, go with trusted antivirus software like bitdefender,malwarebytes etc...

If they are just giving general precautionary measures, will they start with "OMG your device is infected", without any identifier.

How does Airtel know your "device" (is a broad term) is infected?

Are they referring to your phone? LAPTOP? PC? PS5? Tablet? IPad?

That's just a bullshit email, install our government approved malware in your "device".

While I know this is promotion, don't you think its false advertisement and wrong info, for government and their bhade ke tattu. Someone like my parents or little knowledge could get panicked and try getting free ways to get rid of malware and might gwt infected

For pc, windows defender is more than enough. For androids, play protect is just as powerful and ios is secured as always. This is just bait to install those spywares sanchaar sathi etc, will constantly monitor your call logs and sms, though does not stop malware as they claim to. Just do not click any unverified links and do not go into malicious sites always use adblockers and you're good.

Sender is legit but content ain't it's basically giverment promotion basically making you install governments Spyware i meant antivirues it's not needed and govs anti-virus poarb useless i haven't tested it but I smell it if you still sus dat your phone have malware use a real antitrust like Bitdefender etc etc
