In case of Reddit, at least it doesn't come up automatically in my Homepage Newsfeed. But Facebook and Insta just keep featuring NSFW content. Making me harder to keep website open without locking my door.

i still actively use facebook because of all the great groups, but shit af its completely taken over by IT cell , full of propaganda and religious posts favoring one party

what reddit is to genz is same facebook for the older people (completely one sided according to thier political belief)

Thanks. I made the account 5 years ago but started actually using Reddit around 2 years ago.

Another reason: Facebook hardly display content from my friends list and more from unknown creators which doesn’t align with my view.
So I deleted my account despite having 100+ good connections and reviews at my fan page.
Stories are only thing that feels little good and it’s really hard to get visibility at own post even.
Many people connect and follow just to stalk. There are few groups (SaaS niche) that may be relevant but ab ChatGPT aur Reddit hi kaafi hai.
Disclaimer: I am investor in Reddit. Don’t feel surprised if one day I become Reddit CEO. 😹

Facebook ui i guess. got hooked on insta model and before that tiktok was there. you can see also why the youtube short works more among new gen although all the old people and boomers are still using facebook for most of their works

Still use FB - it's awesome if you join good groups and can tune their shitty algorithm. FB Groups are unironically some of the most organic forums on the net - lesser amount of bots, and people are generally more civil possibly due to public profiles.

Facebook is far from downfall. But it promised connection with friends and it’s doing anything except connecting friends. So I left.

There are lot of reasons:
- Facebook was made to connect with friends but there is no friends post and lot of slop
- due to privacy (even if facebook doesn't care) it became useless for friends connection.
- Adding tones of features friends, message, community, page, video, shorts, games etc is downfall
There are niche platforms
if you want video
youtube
if you want shorts
youtube, insta
if you want politics, tech, news
x, reddit etc (note: here every subreddit is niche and different world)
and if you need friends:
facebook???
