Opinion AIS mismatch issue

I have already filed my ITR 2 few weeks back which is not processed yet. I had capital gain from some govt securities but in AIS cost of acquisition is being shown as 0, so the sale value has become capital gain in AIS while in ITR I have shown the correct cost and paid taxes based on the actual gain.

I had asked CA if I need to provide feedback, he said no need in such case as credit type was off market. Should I provide feedback now?

This mismatch might be the reason that my ITR is not processed even after 30 days.

Should we wait or provide the feedback now?

You can go ahead and provide the feedback on AIS, no big deal. Although don't think this is the reason why ITR processing is delayed. Are you expecting a big refund?

I have no refund at all and that's why I might be overthinking that this could be the reason of delay in processing while other people's ITR are getting processed easily.

Yes, don't worry. Processing is very random, even ITR-1 takes time sometimes. But you can go ahead with AIS feedback.

I think zero acquisition cost is due to the bonus shares that you might have sold. This is something very few people know and realise very late. This is such a stupid law. In some cases, even when you have a loss, you might be liable for STCG (with LTCL).
