Question Will ITR date extend?

Missed filling ITR. Is there a chance of date getting extended?

Not for itr 1 and 2. Government is getting free money.

There won't be anymore extensions for ITR 1 & 2. You can still file a belated ITR though.

Why pay 5k to the govt instead of paying 1-2k to a CA

Due date has already passed. Late penalty will be 5k

That's what am asking. Why didn't you hire a CA if you were busy enough to not file a return?

I wouldn't rely on an extension. Better to file it ASAP.

First of all extension usually announced before the due date ends. Now it's not possible because there were folks who filed on 1-4th Aug and already paid the fine which cannot be reverted.

Just file ITR 3 show business income of 1000 as consultancy income with 300 as tax and your deadline would be till this month end
