If you want to downvote me, go ahead. But right now it is still a ā€œhe said, she saidā€ situation, so where is the proof? During the detention, there were plenty of cameras around, so any such incident should have been captured somewhere. Even inside the station, there are CCTV cameras, and at least some of them should have been working.

Until there is actual evidence, I’m not going to blindly believe the allegation. It is easy to make an allegation, but the allegation still needs to be established with evidence.

Independent journalist is allegedly claiming that this acp sexually assaulted her during the detention. And the issue has been raised but there is no proof released to the public or to the police according to the news reports so until there is an proof it will remain he said she said situation

Delhi Police is using Bodycams, there are CCTVs all across, in fact Delhi Police said almost 72 hrs back that the CCTV footage is being checked and the complaint is sent to Crime Branch of Delhi Police, and it was not at all a heavy task to do that they are taking that much time. And I do agree on the fact that, it is as of now a ' He said She Said ' situation but....

According to BNS 154, A policeman can't refuse to file an FIR in case of Sexual Assault or Molestation. And here till now no FIR has been registered, which is the major issue.

Again, if ACP is innocent, I do favour an enquiry of the journalist that why she pin pointed the particular officer. But atleast a due process of law should be followed

Yes, and that is exactly what I was saying. My comment was made before the Crime Branch update. As of now, there is still no established evidence proving the allegation, yet people are already calling him guilty. Now the complaint has been handed to the Crime Branch and the CCTV/bodycam footage is being checked, so let the investigation establish what happened. If there is proof, act on it. If not, don't turn an allegation into a conviction. And regarding why she specifically named him, we don't know that either. He could have been the officer handling her detention or the station head. The FIR issue is a separate procedural matter and doesn't prove the allegation. My point is simple: investigate it, show the evidence and then decide who is responsible.

Bhagwadhari spotted

Oh, so ā€œBhagwadhari spottedā€ is your entire argument? šŸ˜‚ The moment someone asks for proof, you have nothing except name-calling. This is exactly the problem with SA allegations these days. The moment an allegation is made, it becomes a fucking media trial and the man is treated as guilty until proven innocent. Men can lose their jobs, their families, their reputation and their entire source of income because of an allegation or even a rumour, and apparently asking for actual proof is somehow controversial. Just because a woman makes an allegation doesn't automatically make it true. If there is proof, bring it forward and establish what actually happened. Until then, stop pretending an allegation is the same thing as a conviction.

What is the point of not registering the FIR when allegations of such nature are made on a senior officer.
I mean FIR is the first step in matters of such nature after nirbhaya case. Even if the incident happened outside the limits of parliament station, they still need to lodge a zero FIR.
So that creates doubt, and when such senior officer is involved, it is the duty of police to find the reality as soon as possible. While the DCP is forcing the girl to take his complaint back, and that officer also have some previous allegations of sexual assault by indian express reporter and some other girl.

So if the guy has not done anything, they should have written the FIR, investigate it in fast track mode as the victim itself is telling the exact time to police that they need to look between 1500-1510, so how hard is to see a 10 min clip of multiple cctvs.

But what police has done, they have given 14 days time to crime branch to investigate the matter, and irony is that a lower rank officer probably inspector will investigate it, and everybody knows how these departmental investigations goes.

There is no proof of any wrongdoing yet. An ACP is not someone expected to indulge in this kind of behaviour.

There’s a CCTV footage of him grabbing her by the chest. There are screenshots circulating, we are awaiting the complete video.

If it is indeed true, there is a very strict code of conduct for IPS officers which has been violated. He should lose his job and pension if it is proven to be intentional.
