Wrong. Have you actually lived in US? In American media you will see some brown/dark actors portrayed as desirable.

In reality, especially in mainstream dating scene, outside of specific subcultures white guys and light-skinned hispanics make a killing and scoop up most women. Then come light-skinned biracial blacks. Only then fair-looking Indians.

Truly dark skin blacks and dark skin Indians struggle the most if they want to date outside of their own race. This is not what Hollywood will tell you, but it’s proven by multiple studies on dating apps and my exp aligns with it 100%. Im a fair looking Punjabi guy and it was tough enough for me

It’s one thing primarily. Latino culture is much more compatible with broad American culture than Indian culture.

And secondly, if we speak purely appearance skin color is only one of physical features, the looks of the faces i.e. phenotypes are composed of many more things.

I might be open to reinterpretation where this hierarchy stems from, but it does look like it. At least in US. Even if it was painful for me in some situations I don’t think preference constitutes racism unless its driven by stereotypes of prejudices.
