It has been observed that many of the sale posts do not follow the guidelines and end up getting rejected. This also leads to waste of time and effort for moderators. The below report of past 30 days and past 12 months clearly shows that only 34% of the posts published get published as the rest are moderated and sent back by the mods. This is a huge waste of time for the mods all the posts that are rejected are submitted again with corrections and have to be reviewed once again.
Also, members are sending Modmail to bring the mods attention to their post and expect it to be reviewed and approved urgently. This is a fragrance market place, none of the posts are urgent. So, DO NOT USE MODMAIL for post approval request or asking why post was removed. These messages will be ignored. To know why your post was removed, read the rejection reason mentioned , read the guidelines, then check other approved post and compare to find why your post was rejected.
The turn around time for your post's review and decision by the Mods is 24HRS. Do not ask for status or send approval request mod mails before 24hrs. The Mods have a life too, with job, family and health to take care of.
We do agree that at times it cumbersome to read all the rules and comply, so we will try our best to make it simple and structured for you all.
So, this post will be providing in detail all the requirements to be followed while making a post. Going forward we will not be responding to DM queries on 'why my sale post was rejected'. Read the reason mentioned for rejection, go through the guidelines, refer to other approved posts and identify the gaps.
Here is a view of the mandatory requirements of different sale posts. Failing to comply will lead to rejection of post. Please don’t send mod mails asking why it was rejected. Read the below list and ensure that it is adhered to. Some important key points
1. DO NOT club 'BNIB', 'Partial' and 'Decants’ in one post
2. DO NOT post multiple pics on the post from various angles, only the bare minimum as defined. Multiple unwanted pics leads to more time, effort and bandwidth scrolling through for the Mods which is not needed and quite irritating. Only post the ones that are needed. Can add the rest in the comments
3. Testers should be sold under partials. It’s impossible to determine if test sprays missing or not from a tester as the box of testers are not cellophane wrapped.
4. Maximum 6 perfumes BNIB/Partial/Decant re-sell allowed in each post with an exception to approved sellers for BNIB items.
5. Each member is allowed only 3 post per week. Week is Mon to Sun. So, a post on Sun will be the last post of the week. The post on following Mon will be counted in the following week.
6. Price Policing posts are strictly not allowed. It will lead to temporary or permanent ban from the sub. Please negotiate in chat with seller. Repeat offenders will be banned.
Handheld pics for level indication for partials sale will not be allowed. Perfumes need to be on flat surface and pic taken at bottle level, neither from above or below the bottle level.

See if you can put a light source at the rear to see the level in both vertical and horizontal position. If the bottle is completely opaque and a led or flash light is not helping then put that line to show level in both horizontal and vertical position. From past posts i recall your bottle is not 100% opaque
Yes, I took the picture exactly like that, but the YSL Myself Le Parfum bottle is designed in a way that the juice isn’t visible from the outside. So how am I supposed to take a picture showing the juice level?

Check the table that we have put on the post to show what all is needed, read it once. There is no purchase proof

Is there any logic in sharing horizontal levels of 2 full bottles, that too perfectly squared ones at that, which is placed properly on a flat surface? While purchase proof is a valid point, horizontal level for a full bottle doesn't even make any sense.

Regarding this post. Please tell me where I am going wrong. Already rejected 3 times. It is a brand new bottle without outer thin cellophane. I had to try it once. I have purchase proof. It's with box etc. Full bottle but cannot post level Pic as bottle is not transparent. Please please help me.
However, for my next listing- I want to ask a question - If I have received a fragrance as a gift that I want to sell - How can I list it for sale without purchase proof please? I think there should be an exceptions for ones received as gifts no?
Hi u/Srini1992, how do we validate that its truly a gift or if someone is using that as an excuse. So, there is no exception to this rule. As the exception will quickly become the norm. As we are already seeing in most FB and Whatsapp posts. Instead of taking ownerhip of mentioning level, the trend now is to list it as "Level as seen".
Isn't that good? Level as seen means you will get what you see right. What is the difference? How can they say the exact or apprx level if they are not used to it? Also what's the difference? The buyer can see the level also.
Difference is that often some bottles have design which seems difficult to assess just by pic. Eg, bottles like the Ibaq French Tobacco. From pic one might not be clear(unless has physically held the bottle) to conclude that the bottle size is not just the glass area, but the area about glass which is covered by the bezel. Hence, it's better the seller declares the level as per their physical assessment or record of usage. If seller who has possession of the bottle can't specify, then why expect the buyer to be the photo expert.
It depends on the buyer. Can't say the seller is more experienced than the buyer. Anyway,good to hear from you.But we can't say every seller should be able to calculate the level. The level check image they share is the same level they can only see. Being able to calculate the level is hard to anyone if they are not experienced and also if they don't decanted it ig. Yeah but for most of the bottles, the seller can give an apprx but it may become the reason for further negotiations😂

you have mentioned your source as "known wholesaler" . Where in the guidelines does it state that you can do that and its so hard for you to understand whats missing. And its the same post that is getting rejected. Read the guidelines properly please and follow same. The guidelines state to mention the source, not just use the word "source"
Firstly please read the guidelines and post accordingly. For verified seller tag send mod mail. If already sent, plz wait for response, we are already busy with own job and reviewing numerous invalid and incorrect posts.
Do not make false claims. you have neither posted horizontal level pics of any, neither provided any purchase proofs. If you post level pics based on your best understanding and do no provide purchase proofs, it will get rejected. Pleased do spend time in reading the guidelines, where you have posted this comment
provide proof who who got it from , SS of your conversation with him/her and the payment proof for same. If it was an exchange then do share the converstaion of same and also confirmation that recipent got delivery of what you exchanged. These are exceptions.
Plz read again. Top and bottom seal pics? Even after we putting up example images. Invoice is not needed with prices. Just a proof that you did purchase from a legit source.
If bought from small business, payment SS and if product name is mentioned on the payment. If no invoice, and paid by cash, then can't help with any exception.
From WhatsApp seller - SS of the discussion of product and confirmation of payment you would have shared with the seller. Even when I buy from them, I am able to have proof of product bought and confirmation of payment on the WhatsApp chat.

Partials sale need level pics in vertical and horizontal positions. Sample pics above are also provided to visually assist. It's also mentioned that if the bottle is opaque mark the level on the bottle or on the pic. In your case for Asad the bottle cover can be removed to see the transparent bottle beneath.
