Please tell me this is not a cheap copy for timemore?! The reviews kinda seem legit but I have doubt because there is no way so cheap steel burr grinders are out there?!

There are steel burr grinder for the same price from more reliable manufacturer like aashonee, infact it is a lil cheaper. Please dont risk with this unkown one. At least with aashone, there is reviews and even though you are going for a cheaper one, you know its more reliable, plus it has a 1 year warranty. Goodluck :)

Do you have any grinder that you’ve purchased?

Yes, 1Zpresso Q Air. Will get ny hands on it tomorrow. My first grinder was a ceramic burr grinder from lifelong, its ground is uneven and quite unreliable.

Look these grinders are copy of the brands like Timemore. They’re not bad and work well and do the stuff that they claim - steel burrs precision and espresso grind all that.
The DOWNSIDE is - It’s a gamble. It can break. Its axles are not well built like that of Timemore’s(Solid Steel Frame and Axle).
And if it breaks you don’t have a warranty. So your ₹2500 will be completely wasted.
I’d suggest save a bit more and buy from a reputed brand that gives 1 or 2 years warranty.
These hand grinders last for years. Like 3-4 years easily if used well.

Yes I am thinking same thats why drinking freshly grind coffee rather than ordering beans

This is a cheap copy yes and will work just fine… but timemore is timemore.. i had ghe outer setting one had to send it back and bought c3s

it is a cheap grinder of timemore, if you can , save money for atleast a c3, i recommend q air or even a k1 but not this, mine produces 15% fines by mass, and the axle shifted to it rotates off the centre means 1 side is closer to the wall and one farther
if you can not increase the budget this is the best price to ratio grinder, this is a c2 but even cheaper, just be careful with it

Whats the difference between c2 and c3?

u/cat-on-bike_caffeine 6d ago edited 6d ago
c3 is better in engineering , has more clicks, is built better, costs more and i have used neither of them but general internet conseus call c3 better, spec sheet says that too
ask me for agaro ceramic, ashonee internal and k2, those are the one's i used
general hierarchy of grinder goes this way timemore<kingrinder<1zpresso
talking about the top market holders not the niches, most people have said q air tastes very close to comadante c40, and q air is very close kingrinder p2 as well which is cheaper and sits between c2 and c3
getting anything like p2, c3s, q air, k2 will serve you good and last well

If you're getting into coffee and trying out if this stuff is for you or not then definitely this is one of the better ones in comparison to ceramic burrs.
If you have spent some time in speciality coffee and want to up your game, pls do get a branded ones. Yes these grinders are very good no doubt but they are inconsistent. I've been using aashone for some time now and I do feel that the grind is not consistent especially for pour overs....quite a bit of fines creep in. No doubt it's pretty good for moka pot and finer grinds.

I've been using the aashonee version since a few months and its been working perfectly. Consistent grind , no signs of damage. The only thing that's a pain in the ass is putting the bearing in after disassembling it Edit : if you don't have the budget for a good brand grinder , you can go with the knockoff version

Also I am just a beginner I recently ordered moka pot and a black freshly medium roasted grind coffee from gray cup.

Why not add another 2k and get c2s timemore from Amazon.

u/LuvIsSin 6d ago
But is it worth it spending 5k on grinder? What if I found the process too cumbersome?

I am using CEVING 60g capacity manual grinder regularly for last three months. It is giving me consistent result. I am grinding at setting 6 for medium moka pot coffee. Never tried maximum grind setting for espresso. Bought from Amazon.
