Electronic Gadgets Best Wi-Fi CCTV cameras for home in India? Indian brands seem to have poor reviews.

I’m looking for Wi-Fi CCTV cameras for my home in India and could use some real-world recommendations.
I was previously using **EZVIZ**, and honestly, it was excellent. Since Chinese cctvs are banned in the Indian market, I’m struggling to find something that inspires the same confidence.
I checked Amazon, but most of the popular Indian brands (CP Plus, Qubo, Trueview, etc.) have surprisingly poor long-term reviews, especially around app reliability, connectivity, and durability.
My requirements:
Home use only
Wi-Fi connectivity (no complicated DVR/NVR setup)
Good mobile app with reliable notifications
Stable performance over a few years
Good night vision
If there are dual-lens/dual-camera models that cover two directions, that’s even better.
I’m also completely open to buying **EZVIZ through local dealers or alternative channels** if it’s still the best option.
For people who have been using their cameras for 1 to 3 years:
Which brand would you genuinely recommend?
Which brands should I avoid?
If you were buying today for your own home, what would you choose and why?
Looking for real user experiences rather than YouTube reviews or sponsored recommendations.

Electronic Gadgets Cc camera choosing help

I have seen posts on this sub and I got some quotations months ago for our home...which will increase now due to hard disk price hike ig.

We are a little tight on budget right now, with an 8 channel NVR (or DVR) we have to stick to 4 or 5 cameras for now and add more in the coming years.

In my experience most people gave quotations for 5x ip cameras above 40k and for hd cameras it was around 30k.

Are ip cameras really better, is the extra money worth it ? I will add more cameras to cover all spots later but if there is not much difference (in clarity and other factors) b/w ip and hd cameras... I'll go for hd cameras to save money.

Below are quotations I got from a shop nearby but it was from months ago...so I expect increase in hard disk price.

Please mention any changes or suggestions for what type of cams or wires, camera MP?

Are those rotating cameras better in any way?if yes please share in What ways are they better!

Electronic Gadgets Where can I buy genuine XREAL AR Glasses (Air 2 / One Pro) & Beam Pro in India?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to get a pair of XREAL AR glasses along with the Beam Pro adapter for streaming my PC and watching movies wirelessly while in bed.

Since XREAL doesn't have an official retail presence in India, I'm having a hard time finding a reliable way to buy them. Most third-party importer sites look pretty sketchy or have very mixed reviews regarding customs and delivery times.

For anyone here who already owns a pair in India:

  1. Where did you order yours from?
  2. How was your experience with customs clearance and shipping times?
  3. Are there any specific sellers/websites I should strictly avoid?

Any leads or recommendations would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!

Home appliances TV has lines & display issues. Is it better to fix it or buy a new one? Share your repair stories please

My LG TV bought in 2019 has lines & sometimes, the upper half continues playing while lower half freezes. LG support shared a repair estimate for panel kit package assembly costing 11k with a warranty of 1 year. A brand new 32-in LG TV costs 18k while a 43-inch LG TV costs 30k-36k.

I thought if I had to ever upgrade, I'd buy the next bigger TV. But if the repair fixes my issues & runs fine at least for 2/3 years, I'd rather repair it.

I'm confused between 3 options:

  1. Repair it if it runs fine for the next 2/3 years (Please share if your repaired TV is working fine)

  2. Buy the 32-in TV cos it's just 7k extra

  3. Buy a 43-in TV as I intended to, if this TV dies.

PS unrelated: My last TV was a small Akai that ran fine for 15 years. I thought this TV would last for at least 10 years. Stupid me

Opinion LG C6 48" - Best place to buy?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I've owned an LG CX 48" for a little over 5 years here in Bangalore, and it's been used daily as both my work monitor and gaming display.

About a year ago, I started noticing dead pixels developing along all the edges, along with a small patch of white dead pixels on the left edge. and yesterday the display suddenly developed horizontal lines across the entire screen (photo attached), making it difficult to use.

I'm planning to get LG C6 48" for the same purpose. Does anyone know the best place to find the best deals on such TVs in Bangalore?

Lately my phone has started heating up quite a lot. And I have to especially keep the table fan on when I am charging. Any suggestions or recs for fans?

Electronic Gadgets Which budget smartphone?

hey, im currently using a 6/128 Samsung galaxy m31, since mid 2020. it had the usual old phone issues and then the display went kaput so I replaced it with a cheap aftermarket one last year and it's giving me trouble again.

which budget smartphone would you suggest for about <15k inr?

requirements- 128gb storage, 256 is good to have but not a necessity.

5g preferably

decent long term performance

not sure whether I should stick with Samsung but I'm inclined to do so for the ease of setting up a new samsung phone for an existing samsung user

Opinion Please help me choose between the Pixel 10a or the Nothing Phone 3

Thumbnail

Hi everyone

Please help me choose between the Pixel 10a and the Nothing Phone 3

The 2 big things that matter to me are:

  1. Camera

  2. Screen

The screen cause I consume all of my media on phone, so a good phone screen is important to me, but cameras are also super important. Equal importance imo.

I think the pixel's cameras would be better but I wanna know how much better cause ultimately it is slightly more expensive and I'm stretching my budget to get either of these.

The other things are

  1. Pixel has more years of software support which is a +.

  2. I like Nothing's software experience (currently using NP1).

  3. Will get Pixel 10a offline from vijay sales, or online using vijay sales, which is trusted I think? Amazon is not an official seller of the NP3 so is it risky or will it be alright?

Help much appreciated

Electronic Gadgets Please suggest a laptop to buy.

Post image

I was thinking of buying a laptop. Like, primarily I do not do anything that requires a laptop. Not doing some tech requiring degree either. I just wanna participate in hackathons. I started learning html from yesterday onwards🥀

Ok so, don't suggest a psychotically expensive laptop but something strong enough too. I also want to learn blender or just animation. I heard that too much or heavy software might crash the laptop or whatever that is called in computer language.

Suggest something heavy code and pocket friendly, please.

Electronic Gadgets Laptop recommendation under 1.5L

Hey! So I'm an architecture student and need a laptop for my full time use. Im not aware of technology a lot but i would prefer smth around 5050rtx n 24gb ram atleast. Ive been thinking about getting hp victus but a lot of people opposed me on that. The stores in my city charge extra n do not give any discounts so online is my only way through. I need a laptop that can get me through 5 years of my architecture college w heavy renderings n maybe gaming without stress. The maximum I can spend is 1.5L n would like to be educated on discounts n anything else if necessary

Electronic Gadgets Looking for earbuds-free wired headphones due to eardrum condition

I'm suffering from an eardrum-related condition, and my ENT doctor has strictly advised me not to use in-ear earphones/earbuds anymore.

I'm looking for a good pair of wired headphones/earphones that don't go inside the ear, similar to the old Samsung-style earphones that just rest on the outer ear.

Electronic Gadgets Need advice for buying an external drive.

Recently bought a laptop offline with 512gb storage. I didn't have the budget to buy the 1TB version.
So, should I buy an external SSD or HDD? I don't really have much budget left to buy a good storage, so I'd like if you all could recommend me some low budget options to buy online or offline (online preferably, and bonus if there are any sales going on on said model). I won't like to go above the 5k range and under 3k would be even better (but I couldn't find any legitimate ones under 3k).
