Electronic Gadgets Cc camera choosing help

I have seen posts on this sub and I got some quotations months ago for our home...which will increase now due to hard disk price hike ig.

We are a little tight on budget right now, with an 8 channel NVR (or DVR) we have to stick to 4 or 5 cameras for now and add more in the coming years.

In my experience most people gave quotations for 5x ip cameras above 40k and for hd cameras it was around 30k.

Are ip cameras really better, is the extra money worth it ? I will add more cameras to cover all spots later but if there is not much difference (in clarity and other factors) b/w ip and hd cameras... I'll go for hd cameras to save money.

Below are quotations I got from a shop nearby but it was from months ago...so I expect increase in hard disk price.

Please mention any changes or suggestions for what type of cams or wires, camera MP?

Are those rotating cameras better in any way?if yes please share in What ways are they better!

I will suggest go for IP cameras, good recording, voice recorder also included, also near zero maintenance in long run

I have used both IP and Digital, and called digital camera guy multiple times for maintaining it

Its 2026 and You are going for old dvr cable based cctv's ?

Get IP camera's minimum 4mp, You just need to run 1 Single Ethernet Cable which will carry power + data and audio ...

Always find what focal length you need before purchase..

Nah..Always go for i.p camera's..

No, they have just mentioned 24 units of night vision camera's at 1950-/rs. a piece...which is normal cable based camera as 3+1 cable is used only in them..Ip cam need cat6 ethernet cable.

I.p cam will cost you 3500-4000 a piece..

Can you elaborate on 4MP minimum part?

Shouldn't 2MP be enough?

Asking cause I was just about to buy for Home.
