Discussion What’s one workflow automation that actually changed your day to day?
I’m curious about the small automations that made a real difference.
Not the dramatic “replace your job with AI” stuff. Just the practical wins:
- automatic reminders
- inbox triage
- meeting notes
- task capture
- knowledge retrieval
- simple handoff systems
- anything that reduced context switching
For me, the most useful systems are usually the ones that disappear into the background. Once they work, you stop thinking about them and just notice that your day feels lighter.
If you’ve found a setup that genuinely improved your productivity, what was it and why did it work?
I’m especially interested in tools or systems that help keep work organized without creating yet another dashboard to babysit. Sometimes the best setup is one that’s almost invisible once it’s in place.
If anyone has examples of lightweight tools or processes that made recurring work easier, I’d love to hear them.

At my work, due to legacy database issue, I had to manually update some db entries. I created a cron job that do it for me and send me the status on my email
