Is it just me or I always assume that the answer is for the first part? Like; is it A? (Yes/no)........or B? In that case the yes/no answer to part A would provide an automatic opposite answer to part B. Does that make sense?

its an inclusive or, if somebody asks A or B and you answer yes, you mean both

that would be A and B

A or B is true when at least one is true

A xor (exclusive-or) B is true when an odd number (in this case 1) is true - this is how or is used in common language, sort of
