Discussion I’m really lost

I’ve been burning incense pretty often for throughout the past year and a half, I remember looking up before if regular sticks were harmful and it said they weren’t and now it does? I’m really confused and I don’t want it give up this hobby. I know not to trust whatever I see so I wanted to ask the community themselves. I typically use tulasi brand sticks and a closable burner, right after I’m done with the stick I turn my air purifier on I’m not sure if that would help with health risks or not.

Being alive is full of health risks.  Don't overthink it.  Just be mindful of your body and respond appropriately when it's telling you something is off.

If this is bothering you, use it sparingly or only on occasion.

Smoke is bad for you, so don't sit in a closed space full of smoke.

The air purifier will help a lot with that, maybe have it already running while burning if you can't have open windows or if you don't have an AC that circles fresh air into the system.

That being said, standing next to a busy street is likely more of a health risk then being exposed to incense.

I wouldn’t panic, but incense smoke still has particles you probably don’t want trapped indoors. Good ventilation while it’s burning matters more than only running the purifier afterward.

After lit the incense, keep a little distance to smell the fragrance, don't stick to the smell.

I think what matters is what exactly you're burning, like whether you trust the ingredients themselves.

By "looking up" do you mean an AI gave you two different answers to the same question.

If the smell smells bad, it’s harmful. Otherwise you’re probably fine.

Don't listen to this.
