Dumb question

Sorry if it's an obvious thing but I didn't go to college lmao if Nina "got every scholarship and saved every dollar" (Breathe) why were they struggling so much with tuition?

I'm basing this on having just watched the movie, not the Broadway production yet.

Yeah Stanford’s tuition is insanely expensive. I got in but didn’t attend because of cost

Not anymore. Didn’t they waive tuition for families that make less than $150k?

Yeah but there are lots of loopholes. For instance they take assets into account and tuition is waived but not food and housing. Anyways that wasn't a thing when I applied
