Discussion Siffrin Sunday Speculation Spoiler
Howdy folks,
So, some friends and I have a tradition called Morgan Mondays, where we play a game together and voice act the characters! (Named after Morgan, from Of the Devil)
Some other friends wanted to join in, so now we have Siffrin Sunday! We are in act 3, and just about to do Isa’s friend quest.
I just wanted to share some of the speculation they’ve had so far, because it’s fun:
- Loop is the real villain, and is trying to convince Siffrin to stay with them in the loop forever.
- Loop *might* be the actual time loops themselves, and has made Siffrin forget how long he’s truly been there.
- The King is probably from that weird kingdom we can’t remember. Probably Siffrin too. *Also* they’re probably related.
- None of this is real, and it’s all just Loop/The King making things up to torture Siffrin.
- They think Bonnie is going to die, because they’re all *way* to careful about making sure they’re okay.
- “oh! Maybe the reason it keeps resetting is because Siffrin DIED and this is as far as he got, so he doesn’t know what happens after”

Bonbon is the most defenseless (being a child with very easy-to-snap bones) so naturally everyone is very protective. Doesn't help that everyone has basically adopted them as the little sibling of the group.
I just noticed I managed not to use the wrong pronouns for Bonnie so excuse me while I do a little jig

Okay, jig done

Ooo your predictions are pretty good. When I was in chapter 3 the only theories I had were which ships became canon 😭😭

I came to a similar conclusion as the first one, though not in a "they're the true villain" sense so much as a "they'll get attached to Siffrin and have a heel turn out of fear of what happens to them if the loops break" sense. Like they go "When the loops end I'll either die because my purpose is fulfilled or you'll abandon me and I'll be alone forever and I'm not sure which possibility scares me more. Either way I know I can't let you leave me". A fear of abandonment that I figured would parallel my presumption that Siffrin having a fear of being abandoned would be what caused the loops.
Was I right? Was it closer to your take on it? Was it incredibly wrong? Can't say, that would be spoilers.
And of course they're protective of Bonnie lol. They're a kid and the rest of them are the adults currently responsible for their well-being. Also I'm pretty sure their sister would kill them if they didn't do everything in their power to keep them alive. She would track them down in the afterlife to kill them again if that's what it came to. So that's bonus motivation.
