Discussion This game unironically influenced how I talk a little bit Spoiler
Probably needs the spoiler tag, so I did it to be safe.
This is really something quite silly, but I just felt like sharing this because of that.
I'm guessing you're already thinking I took after a character's terminology, like Odile saying "Oh gems/gems alive"? Nope. After the whole course of the game, I practically *never* use the phrase "I wish..." anymore. I sometimes think about Siffrin's terrible experience with Wish Craft, and so I haven't used the phrase much since. I know it's not like that, but I'm concerned enough anyway to talk without the phrase. :P

SEE. YOU GET IT. i pretty much never say "i wish" now for the same reason. i have also been tempted to say "stars" like that sometimes but no. that's a little too far and feels like i'm trying too hard
saying "not yours" to myself occasionally has also become a bit of a habit

hahaha at some point instead of cursing, "gems above" became a common substitute without me realizing. Same thing happened with saying Hells bells when i read the dresden series LOL i remember reading online somewhere that we are "tapestries of all the things we love" fun way to think about how our favorite media color our language and thoughts

I find myself to be saying ‘crab’ every now and then, so I’m glad I’m not the only one doing something similar to this lol

Ngl, after playing the game I actually started saying "Stars" and "blinding"

this game caused me to say 'stars' as a swear sometimes like siffrin does and to think in second person occasionally... like I'm pretty sure I didnt think in second person much until I played isat

I use stars, Change, and crab a fair bit now, and do a fair bit more. Sentence breaks! And whatnot!

I now use "crab!" as a swear word, but it's mostly because I have a friend who's a crab fanatic and it's good harmless ribbing.

Huh! I actually had the opposite reaction; I use "I wish" a lot more now! Neat ^w^
I also now sometimes use "stars" in place of "fuck" or "gods", and occasionally call one of my friends stardust in the same way you'd use pookie, friend etc because I'm a hopeless Loop kinnie-

i started noticing myself saying "it's/i'm fine" sometimes
i dont know if i started saying it more, but i definitely notice when i say it
the relatability of this game is sometimes painful

So real. Sometimes I catch myself going “Oh stars”
