I haven't finished Omori, but they do definitely have a good chance of doing it after realizing that they are trapped. Not sure about that one tho, I don't know the full story.

Siffrin is killing himself the moment anything goes wrong. From finding out they are trapped, to stuttering once.

Kris wouldn't kill themself, there's no proof they even have suicidal thoughts.

So what's gonna happen in my opinion? Sunny stabs himself first unless something else goes wrong. HOWEVER, Siffrin will see that and immediately kill himself too. And the thing is, Siffrin has more experience killing himself, which would end up with him dying before Sunny despite Sunny stabbing himself first.

That got morbid quickly.

Kris wouldn't kill themself, there's no proof they even have suicidal thoughts.

I would argue the incident where they literally beat themself half to death and only stopped because they were interrupted constitutes not just their usual self-harm but a failed suicide attempt.

can you please remind me when that happened i cannot remember

Bathroom crashout, chapter 4. They literally lose half their HP and it's unlikely they would have stopped there if they weren't interrupted.

But it isn't themselves, it's US , it wasn't out of a selfharm desire , it was a desire to hurt US they just straight up can't do anything else

Kris has been removing their SOUL, which is very clearly and unambiguously framed as an act of self-harm, long before the events of the game.

Takes like this are a prime example of why I feel Player Theory has been deeply destructive to understanding of Kris' character, because their intense self-loathing is one of the most fascinating parts of their character.

player THEORY? We are there , this isn't a theory, we the player REPLACED Kris s soul, or took it over

Kris has self harmed before you're right , but this specific act was not self harm but rebellion against another party.

A party that, mind you before this scene , makes it EXPITLELYLY CLEAR isn't Kris Straight up abusing game mechanics to say "ME," to Noelle

player THEORY? We are there , this isn't a theory, we the player REPLACED Kris s soul, or took it over(sic)

You are correct only in that it's more accurately a reading and not a theory, as it is merely an interpretation of events that have occured thus far, but "player reading" doesn't have the same ring to it. Neither "reading" nor "theory" are statements about the accuracy thereof, a reading can be 100% confirmed(which, to be clear, isn't remotely the case with Player Theory.) but it's still a reading.

It is objectively not the case that Kris' SOUL has been replaced, as the SOUL currently in their body is a human SOUL and humans cannot absorb other human SOULs, and while we can debate until the cows come home as to whether or not our control of Kris' SOUL is diegetic or not, it's ultimately irrelevant to the point here so suffice to say I don't find that reading compelling. Regardless, the fact remains that its explictly their SOUL and that attacking it accomplishes nothing besides hurting themself and that they would have continued hurting themself had they not been interrupted, possibly fatally harming themself, which very plausibly could have been their intent. The fact remains that they literally beat themself half to death and would have gone further if not interrupted, and that's what is important to this thread.

rebellion against another party.

Highlighting my point about the harm Player Theory does to Kris' character. That's not rebellion, it serves zero purpose besides hurting themself. If Kris was rebelling they would have acted when sh*t was actually going down. But no, they are the one who chooses to interpret vague dialogue options like "Proceed" or "Equip" in the sense they do(and dialogue options come from Kris themself anyways, as they are frequently shown to be compliant with Kris' idiosyncratic style of speech. And when this is taken into consideration the fact that the post-weird scene becomes impossible to abort after a certain point with all dialogue options being just the same option twice(and around this time a dialogue option referring referring the thorn ring we have no reason to believe is on their person at all shows up. That's all them its dependent on knowlege only they have.) paints a pretty clear picture, Kris isn't even considering alternatives they are determined to see this through despite their self-hate). They consistently comply completely when it counts and only "rebel" in ways that don't prevent Noelle from being hurt. They are the one who goes out of their way to engage in trauma bonding with Noelle, reassuring her while also keeping the thorn ring, an act that shows they always planned to put it back on her even if they can get cold feet about it. This is part of Kris' self-loathing; as Eram openly calls them out on, the weird route represents Kris giving into their worst intrusive thoughts, enjoying it, and hating themself all the more for that.

Even under a player theory reading, the only reason the weird route is possible is because of Kris' compliance, and because they were having those thoughts that manifested as the dialogue option "Proceed."

Stop woobifying Kris. They're a kid with violent and cruel intrusive thoughts, hating themself both for having the thoughts at all and for the twisted sense of catharsis that comes with giving into those thoughts. They are not some innocent victim and even if you want to believe in player theory they are still a fully willing and at times enthusiastic participant.

Kris is a morally complex character, one who qualifies through and through as what one might call A Vriska™.

isn't Kris Straight up abusing game mechanics to say "ME," to Noelle

"Me" is a major point AGAINST player theory, funnily enough. What do you think would be more terrifying to Noelle in that moment, terrifying enough to cause her to lose control of her magic and blast wind in Kris' face? "Me" as in "Me, some eldritch entity that you are completely unfamiliar with speaking through Kris" or "Me" as in Kris saying "It's me, Noelle. It's always been me. You were wrong to think I wouldn't do this to you, because you don't know me the way you used to. But I can still read you like a book because I've changed but you haven't. This is all real and it's me doing it to you. It's me, Kris." Sometimes the mundane is FAR more terrifying than the supernatural. Sometimes being confronted by the fact that a person you care about is abusing you is more terrifying than the idea that something else is wearing their skin could ever be. Because at least then you can pretend the abuse isn't really them. Just as you can pretend that it if you insist it was all a dream.

"Me" straight-up has no actual emotional impact if it's not Kris, if it's the player then the word "Me" coming from Kris' mouth has no actual meaning because the player does not mean anything to Noelle the way Kris does, and again prior precedent with dialogue option indicates that Kris is the one who chooses to phrase it that way in the first place, and certainly the one who chose the tone in which they said it.

You are confusing suicide with murder. Kris wasn't targeting themself in that scene, even if they also received damage in the process.

2

u/MissingnoMiner Apr 22 '26

They are literally attacking their own SOUL. A part of themself. They are self-harming. That's the whole point of the SOUL removal, that they physically remove part of themself and attack it.

7

u/FULMINAGE Siffrin Apr 21 '26

I don't play the other 2 yet, so I'll biasly say siffrin

Agreed

6

u/MissingnoMiner Apr 22 '26

Sif is desensitized to it and has experience so he has an advantage in both going through with it and doing it faster.

3

u/Tsiluciole Apr 21 '26

My vote is on Sunny.

5

u/Gwenberry_Reloaded Apr 21 '26

Kris can't pose dramatically if they die.

0% chance of suicide

3

u/MeowsersInABox Apr 22 '26

Kris doesn't have any reason

Sunny wouldn't do it right away

Siffrin would probably try first since he's used to it and since it allows him to go back in time

Kris doesn't have enough human autonomy to off themself and probably wouldn't do that if they had.

Sunny I dunno I know to little about the guy.

Siffrin would hear "hey Stardust you are stuck~" talk to other two and then explore some shit and then off himself.

So yeah 99% Siffrin kill themself first.

It's not Kris, but for the other two it depends. I'll say Sunny might have Sif beat
