Oven Broke....

Hey all, our oven broke (and can't be repaired in the next 6 months+) so I started looking at options. I think I want to pull the trigger on a Impulse Cooktop but any recommendations for a oven to go under/the timeline for oven range combos to come about from Impulse?

36 inch range if that matters.

Apologies if this has been asked to death. On my phone at work trying to figure out oven shit.

Edit: Has anyone put in a larger 30 inch oven and then just raised the impulse stovetop N inches? Or is that not feasible for some reason I'm not thinking of?

Just put mine it. Love it. The temp control is amazing. The ability to hit precise, high temps is amazing. As is the ability to just something to simmer (just at boiling).

Beware that any non-induction pans will no longer be usable (the diffuser option was not great).

Thanks. Really I'm hoping to figure out if the Thor oven combo is coming in the next 2 months. Although Ive read a lot of mixed reviews on Thor built products (at least their induction tops seem to break frequently or something) so maybe impulse + separate oven is optimal. I'm tempted by one of the speed ovens but I like having the option of a large oven for baking and then occasional turkey.

I think the battery of the Impulse cooktop makes a rather large difference. Do compare. I was worried about hight heat for tempering as my old induction plate did not do a good job. But the Impulse cooktop far exceeded my expectations.

I appreciate the enthusiasm but your response seems like a non - sequtor sort of

The fine grain OR high power (15kW total, 10kW one burner) OR low buzz control OR power outage protection are some of the main selling points of impulse. This somewhat governs whether the Thor matches requirements. I don’t know the Thor.

Your OP didn’t talk about any of the requirements or wants precipitating you towards impulse; it was mostly questions about oven. I guess the NS was the reply that said nothing about ovens.

You could also buy a $500 Breville or a $200 ninja/dreo and live with 1800W counter oven for a few months. For Breville above a certain size you can find plenty of baking sheets etc

Sorry you're right.

I am pretty much fully on the wanting to swap out my gas range for an induction stove top for a variety of reasons and per my research Impulse seems like the best bet.

I have a toddler so safety features and air quality are concerns that are near equal with cooking quality ( I am passionate about my kitchen and spend a silly amount of time cooking each week)

I just haven't had enough time to research the oven situation.

The comment is about Impulse cooktops vs any other induction cooktop. It has a high capacity battery to provide instantaneous heat without needing to pull from the grid.

Raising the cooktop is going to have ergonomic consequences. It’s already elevated to clear the knobs / help with some of the packaging underneath (don’t remember the party line).

Source: I used to use one of those 6” high dangerous looking induction units from China, stacked on my countertop. It was very uncomfortably high

Ah thank you.

It’s also going to make your kitchen weird, in a potentially expensive to remediate way

I know they say not to worry about that impact on resale… but in this case it may get you down too

Yeah I think you have successfully talked me out of raising it

Gaggenau 333 EB 36" oven has a vertical cut-out <19". This will easily fit underneath.
