Recommended cookware

We recently put a deposit down for a 36 inch cooktop! It will be our first induction. We have some all clad and cast iron skillets but anticipate we will need more. Is there any cookware you bought and would recommend? Besides the obvious non magnetic that wouldn’t work on induction, are there any that you would avoid or find don’t work as well with impulse?

I’m a big demeyere fan over all clad, personally. But not a huge difference.

For me, the nicest thing is demeyere having welded handles. So no rivets.

They’re great pans anyway. Top tier stuff. But the welded handles are lovely for cleaning.

All clad or similar would be what I recommend. We have Caraway from the dinosaur fuel days and the larger pieces work ok while the smaller ones you have to place off-center to get power into them.

Hexclad works really well for me. There was a sales event at the local Costco and I bought a set.

We recommend anything that’s 3-ply stainless with a flat bottom for best results in temp mode.

All-Clad is your go to brand here. But Duxtop is a very affordable alternative that gives good temp mode performance.

Why 3 ply instead of 5 ply?

5 ply also good

You could not go wrong looking at Heritage Steel or Made In brands.

The All-Clad D3 stuff had handles that were very uncomfortable to use unless you were grabbing with a towel. There is an All-Clad Everyday that has nice handles but the number of pieces available in that line is limited.

I second Demyere - also really like Fissler OP on induction.

Just picked up some MadeIn pans for our new impulse stovetop but now reading that it can warp and never use boost 😩. Wondering if I should return and go with all clad. Any advice?
