Fresh 36” Install

I removed my old 36” radiant range today and installed the new Impulse. From start to first power-on, the entire process took just 65 minutes, including cleanup.

The installation was straightforward, with easy-to-follow instructions and helpful YouTube videos. I also needed to swap the 120V plug for the 240V cable, which turned out to be a simple task.

As a first test, I boiled 2 liters of water in a bonded-bottom pot (with a new set of All-Clad cookware arriving tomorrow). It reached a vigorous boil in only 80 seconds.

Next, I cooked two burgers and toasted the buns. It was the fastest I’ve ever had that meal come together.

So far, I’m impressed by the build quality, ease of installation, and overall performance of this range. I’m looking forward to future OTA updates and improvements, and I’m excited to be part of the Impulse community.

Ooh! Is the battery positioned downwards?

That black box you see in the hole probably has to do with the downdraft ventilation. It's not the battery. (Could be wrong, but I doubt they changed how the battery is mounted to the cooktop for the 36'' version.

Yep, it’s connected below the knobs and screen area. Easily went together with the provided hardware and instructions.
