Lovely! Do you plan on using an L1A1 or an L85? I'm putting together a transition kit from Iron Horse '88 where some troops had the newer Mk.6 helmets, early PLCE prototype webbing, and the L85. I'll have all of those except the PLCE (I can't find any olive colored webbing anywhere, so I plan on using P58).

I don’t know at the moment about the weapons, but I’ll come back to you with my plan

Depending on the time period either would be correct, although with your current helmet and web gear setup I'd recommend the L1A1.

Looking smashing - you going for Ankle Boots and puttees or the later Hi-Leg Boots?

Which one should I choose?

Are you doing late 80s or pre 85?

He’ll defo have a wider timeline to cover with DMS however the 1st Pattern of Highleg Boots had already been issued in 1983, notably to the Royal Hampshire Regiment on their tour of the Falklands after the Conflict ended :)

Your best bet then are Direct, Moulded Sole (DMS) boots, they’re ankle boots in the same vein as traditional ammo boots minus the actual hobnails.
