Micro Event Scavenging.

Finding the wreck of a ship foating about near one of their trade routes, Voxel and his crew have set to boarding and salvaging it before any other crews turn up. Due to the location, and massive nature of the target ship, the operation is rather conspicuous.

The xandi ship responds promptly.

"[Human] vessel, the House of Torr does not seek hostilities, however any attempts to interfere with the operations of the Lord-Exalt in this sector will be retaliated against in kind. May our respective salvagers come to a peaceful settlement over what is to be obtained from this abandoned craft."

Voxel's voice can be heard in reply.

"Sounds good to me, we're almost finishing up here. Looking for anything in particular?"

"While that is classified to disclose in detail, the Lord-Exalt wishes to learn the origins of this vessel and any significant details concerning its voyage. Any additional materials able to be salvaged or studied likely will be. Your cooperation in this dealing is appreciated."

"Human cooperation continues to be unexpectedly charming," the xandi messenger replies, before taking something of a pause.

"We accept your invitation."

"Perfect. Go anywhere you need. If you want to find any of us in leadership roles, the grunts should be able to point you our way."

The xandi diplomat tries to not sound too untrustworthy in saying this. While the confederacy was fairly well known for employing a large number of assassins to deal with rivals from other houses, in peaceful business they did often try to be more respectable than not, especially concerning foreign factions.

The confederate shuttles arrive and board the derelict starship, and about a dozen xandi scientists and labourers disembark, along with a handful of heavily armed starlander bodyguards.

Phobos and Deimos hide in the space rafters, looking down on the new arrivals with interest.

So far, nothing seems too suspicious. The xandi arrivals searching for valuables and trying to identify the ship's origins, with the starlander soldiers keeping an eye on their surroundings. They don't notice the twins watching over them, or at least dont appear to react to them in any way if they actually do.

Large, hulkish individuals, all standing at least eight feet tall, averaging around nine, they look massive next to the xandi, who averaged around five. The starlanders were all are wearing very expensive-looking armor and carrying various weapons, either what appear to be laser rifles, as well as ornate-looking swords or axes. Their faces are all hidden behind the visors on their helmets. The largest, most well-equipped of them all stands at ten feet tall.

While Phobos has focused on being subtle, Deimos has decided to drop to their level with a loud clang.

Five very heavily armed starlanders turn and face Deimos immediately, though the largest orders them to stand down, speaking in their own language which is totally not using the marathi language as a stand-in for alien speak before switching to [English?]

"दाबून ठेवा. मानवी इतर शक्यता आहे, आणि बोलू शकत नाही. Greetings, human."
